Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The property description on the website needs to be amended as there is no reference to "Elms Cottage" anywhere in the street and even residents were unaware of its name. The property itself was well maintained and spacious inside with two reception rooms, a lovely conservatory and large back garden. There is also a downstairs shower room/toilet. The house is within a residential street but has a driveway so its very quiet and peaceful. The neighbours are friendly and helpful. We don’t have a car and found the house to be very central, with shops and the promenade within walking distance and Morecambe only a short bus ride away (buses every 15mins). I would also highly recommend an e-mail to Lancashire county council who were very helpful in providing lots of information including bus timetables, train timetables, maps and information about events and points of interest in the area. Overall an excellent holiday and one I would certainly consider repeating. July 2012.
  2. Good location for the lakes and the North West. The ability to stay where our dog can be accommodated was most useful. We visit Lytham St Annes , the lakes and the surrounds of Lancaster. Morecambe has improved significantly over the years. We have been at this property at least 5 times and have booked again for next year - we cannot get the same week it is all booked out and we will be there in May. June 2012.
  3. We had expected the property to be in the heart of Morecambe. However we were pleased that it wasn’t as it was a far nicer area. This is the first time we had rented a holiday home and we did it because I have a dog. The property was spotless and had everything in it you could possibly need. I was with my elderly mother, special needs brother and dog. Stairs in house were a bit steep but that had already been mentioned in the write up. The garden was perfect and very dog friendly. May 2012.
  4. A large comfortable house with a large garden. Situated in a very quiete area, only a 100 metres or so from the sea. A few local shops, the main town is about 2 miles away. The furnishings of the house are a bit old fashioned, but perfectly useable. The cupboards could do with a clear out, lots of junk!! In all a very nice place to holiday. May 2012.
  5. Very nice comfortable property which we would highly recommend. April 2012.
  6. Great location for visiting Lake District and North Yorkshire Moors. April 2012.
  7. We thought this holiday home was very good for our needs overall . The accommodation I would rate as very good plenty of room, clean and tidy and big garden. Morecambe itself seemed a quiet seaside town, but pleasant enough (but a must for me because of Eric Morecambes statue !). Blackpool is a 50 minute drive away for the kids. The Lake District which we also came for, is 35 mins to Lake Windermere but another 30 to 45 mins for the rest of the area. So if you are touring just for the Lakes you would probably be better of staying in the Lakes to cut down journey times. But for what we wanted it was the ideal base for travelling north or south. A very comfortable house. I would recommend it to anyone. Aug 2011.
  8. Excellent central location very close to the prom and access to the lakes . We have been here 5 years and take the dog with us, there is plenty of room. June 2011.
  9. Regular visitor - ideal location for Morecambe Bay and the Lakes. April 2011.
  10. Regular visitor to property - well maintained excellent location with spacious garden. Dec 2010.
  11. The house was beautiful it was well equipped and in a lovely area, the best we’ve been to! The outside space was nice and big the dog loved it. Nov 2010.
  12. Met every requirement. Wonderful accommodation. Could not find fault with anything. Sept 2010.
  13. The property is a real home from home. Spacious and clean, really good. Oct 2010.
  14. Well presented and spacious accommodation that we really enjoy frequently returning to. A perfect location to explore the Lakes and the Morecambe Bay/Fylde coastline. Aug 2010.
  15. The property was larger than expected. It would actually sleep 5 as there were 2 double beds plus a single bed. Having a washing machine was ideal as I didn’t have much washing to do when I got back. Aug 2010.
  16. The house was well equipped - a real home from home. It was very comfortable, clean and we enjoyed the garden. July 2010.
  17. Spacious but homely, comfortable accomodation. Maintained to a high standard, with large kitchen, separate shower room, toilets upstairs and downstairs, separate living and dining rooms and modern sun lounge overlooking large and well maintained garden. July 2010.
  18. Nice garden and airy conservatory. July 2010.
  19. Fifth stay at property since August 2008. A lovely property with large garden and superb location for Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. June 2010.
  20. Convenient for access to Morecambe and to the Lakes arden area is excellent for the dogs holiday. May 2010.
