Property Description

Enjoying a peaceful rural setting, this award-winning cottage has been sympathetically converted from a barn, retaining many original features, and carefully furnished to create a warm, cosy atmosphere. Adjacent to the owners’ home, the holiday cottage lies down a no-through lane which leads up to the Fells in the lovely Lune Valley – an area renowned for its excellent walking. The pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale (2 miles) offers an excellent selection of shops and restaurants. The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are a short drive. Village shop 1 mile, pub 1½ miles.

Entrance into dining room with attractive stone-flagged floor. Cosy, beamed sitting-room with electric fire. Modern fitted kitchen. First floor: Double bedroom with original exposed timbers and canopied bed. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet. Landing with glazed door to small, grassed paddock area.

  12. The property has a very high standard of decoration, is very clean and its location is utterly peaceful. This is the second short break we have had in this cottage and both times we have received a lovely welcome from the owners, with a welcome tray of tea, milk and sugar together with the most delicious home-baked cake and scones. It is a great place to stay. Sept 2009.
  13. Very quiet, pretty location. Although some might consider it a little remote from nearest village, there was everything visitors could want at the lovely town of Kirkby Lonsdale a couple of miles away. The owners were very welcoming. Sept 2009.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
