Far reaching countryside views

With far reaching countryside views Berrington House (refs 24773, 24774 & 24795)adjoins the owner’s home which is situated on the edge of Tenbury Wells. The ancient market town of Tenbury is set on the River Teme and was affectionately referred to by Queen Victoria as ’the town in the orchard’. It provides a range of interesting shops, cafes and pubs whilst Ludlow with its fine eateries and restaurants is only a short drive away. For walkers Titterstone Clee Hill offers spectacular views from its summits or if you prefer a more leisurely stroll there are plenty of country walks through the Teme Valley renowned for its growing of hops and cider apples. The cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester are only a short drive away as are the National Trust properties of Berrington Hall and Croft Castle. All three properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 11 guests. Shop 1/2 mile, pub 1/4 mile.

All on first floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen with wooden floor. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Gas hob. Electric oven. Enclosed gravelled area and furniture. Parking (2 cars).

All properties: Gas central heating and electricity included (£30per week, £20 per short break October-March). Bed linen and towels included. DVD and small library. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. No smoking.

  1. We had a very enjoyable week in very comfortable accommodation. The weather wasn’t too bad, but with the European Cup in progress a larger TV would have been nice in such a roomy apartment. The owner was really helpful in suggesting places to go and to eat and otherwise we were left to do exactly as we pleased. The views and gardens were absolutely fantastic and we would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to anybody and would certainly try to reurn if we visited the area again. June 2012.

  3. Lovely circular walk starting from the cottage along Berrington Rd. Superb restaurants within walking distance - The Pembrook, The Peacock and the Ship. All linen provided, but not basic toiletries. Feb 2012.
  4. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and there were some very nice touches on the part of the owners which helped to make our stay more pleasant. We loved exploring the locale and had very relaxing New Year’s Eve. Dec 2011.
  5. Large comfortable 1st floor flat, with ample room and a proper kitchen. Although there are other tenants on the ground floor, unless you seek each other out you do not have to mix with each other unless you want to. The small town of Tenbury Wells is less than 5 minutes walk, with all the facilities you need, including a small supermarket and several good places to eat. Although the flat is on the edge of the town, it is very quiet. The surrounding area is good to explore, with Hereford ( Mapa Mundi) and Ludlow nearby. Sept 2011.
  6. Close to centre of Tenbury and a very comfortable apartment to relax in.Owner welcomed us with fresh eggs and other goodies and the sweet peas in each room scented the whole property. Bedrooms are spacious and lovely view from the kitchen/diner. July 2011.

  14. The property itself was very good. The kitchen could have done with more equipment e.g. spatulas for use with the frying pan. More crockery as there weren’t enough cups etc. to be able to use the dishwasher. Sept 2009.
  15. The holiday was a touring one and there are plenty of items that we found interesting, the countryside is very rural and pleasant. Tenbury Wells has everything that you need (shops, banks, hairdressers, supermarkets and other food stores). The Pembrook Pub is 5 minutes walk away, nice atmosphere good food. Aug 2009.
  16. The apartment is in a very good location for the centre of Tenbury Wells but very peaceful. It is an ideal spot for exploring the area. Aug 2009.
