Property Description

Aberkin is a working farm (cattle and sheep), situated amidst peaceful countryside on the outskirts of Llanystumdwy, birthplace of Lloyd George. Situated on the Lleyn peninsula, Snowdonia National Park is only a few miles away.
The traditional farmhouse (ref WN30) offers spacious accommodation, commanding stunning countryside and coastal views.
Dwyfach (ref B5884) and Dwyfor (ref B5885) are single storey holiday cottages, and were originally farm buildings, dating from 1790, and have been converted into cosy, welcoming properties, each having wheelchair access.
The surrounding area has ample holiday pursuits, including walking, sailing and golf, and with the rivers Dwyfor and Dwyfach each flowing to the sea on the boundary of the farm. The properties are only 500 yards from the main coast road. Horse riding nearby. Ideal for golf. Shops, pubs and the sheltered sandy beach of Criccieth is only 11/2 miles away.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with en-suite shower room and toilet. Additional single futon bed (for child) by arrangement.

Gas woodburner in living room included. Gas central heating included. Ample play area and garden. Wheelchair access.

  9. The accommodation site is fantastic - very secluded and with access to the sea. The accommodation itself is excellent for 4-5 people with very good accessories and plenty of space. Good size living area and kitchen and excellent sized and equipped bedrooms. Bathrooms have no windows and so get very steamed up and thus affect the bedrooms quite significantly.Very safe for children. Aug 2009.
  10. The charming stone cottage is situated in the most stunning scenery - undulating fields with trees edging the river a hundred meters or so away along with a view of the sea from the front door. Cows and sheep graze in the field and the lawn/field boundary has a wire fence edged with low flowering shrubs which together do not in any way spoil the lovely views. There is plenty of space for children to play freely and in complete safety as the maid road is a long way down the farm’s entrance drive. This is one of the reasons we have repeat-booked. The farm is part of the Criccieth Coastal Path - a truly wonderful safe, easy walk for a family through farmland to the coast, along the estuary and into Criccieth. The site has an air of total peace and relaxation which envelops you as soon as you arrive. The cottage is comfortable and cosy enough to hide away if there is bad weather. We love it here.
