This attractive detached cottage offering spacious holiday accommodation, furnished and decorated to a good standard, is set on the seashore, just 15 yards from the shingle beach (sand at low tide), just outside of Pirnmill. From most of the rooms and the conservatory you have fantastic sea views over the Kilbrannan Sound towards Kintyre and guests can enjoy the evening sunsets. You can easily walk to the shop and restaurant, 0.25 miles. From nearby Lochranza with its facilities, restaurants and the distillery you can take the short ferry trip to Claonaig and explore a piece of Kintyre. The Isle of Arran has long since been a playground for the Scots, its topography resembles that of a miniature Scotland - a mountainous north and rolling, pastoral south. Arran has many outdoor activities in peaceful, countryside surroundings. The wildlife is outstanding, with deer, pheasant, otter and eagle readily seen in the mountains. There are seal colonies near coastal caves, trails and pathways to mysterious Bronze Age stone circles, and many relaxing angling hours to be enjoyed by streams or sea. 7 golf courses tempt the golfer, whilst history and heritage is catered for at Brodick Castle and various museums. Shop and restaurant 0.25 miles, pub 4 miles.

  7. The property was lovely and warm when we arrived and stayed that way all week. Everything was to hand in the property and there was nothing lacking, even a rolling pin! The location of the property was lovely with the sea just at the bottom of the garden across a small road. It was very peaceful property. Sept 2009.

  10. The fact that this was our third visit within just over a year, and that we have a further provisional booking for later this year indicates complete satisfaction with our choice. Special thanks to the owner for her friendly and helpful approach; and the cottage is always immaculate and well-equipped. All this in a setting providing scenery, sunsets and rock-pools, access to an infinite range of delights in a geographically small area. I hope you get the impression we liked it! April 2009.

  12. Not only is the property ideally located for a peaceful holiday it is very well equipped in terms of kitchen appliances, crockery and cutlery. Having been blessed with fantastic weather access to a BBQ would have put the icing on the cake. April 2008.

Wall to wall sunshine helped but the house is perfect with wonderful views in a lovely, friendly village and everything we needed plus a lot of things we did not need because of the marvellous weather. The two dogs loved it and there is even a dog porch at the back! Three adults 82, 79 and 39 had a wonderful holiday - thank you. May 2008.
