Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Dunlorn is a very comfortable, welcoming house with lots of space both inside and out. The cottage is very well equipped and from day one we all felt at "home" here.It is located up a steep lane and has a narrow entrance gate (worth being aware of in icy conditions) however it is only a short walk from the main street in Kingussie. The property has two sitting rooms plus a conservatory and small porch - so lots of space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen/dining area is a good size and little touches such as having olive oil, herbs and tea bags/coffee available for you to use are much appreciate and save the hassle of buying these. Kingussie itself is a delightful small town full of lovely individual shops and with a great butchers etc so need to stock up on shopping before you arrive. It is a brilliant location for visiting the many near by attractions including the fabulous Sled Dog Centre (just outside Aviemore) and the Highland Wildlife Centre which is only a few minutes drive away. Lots of very good quality restaurants and cafes near by and stunning scenery to enjoy. The large number of animal based attractions and outdoor activities on offer make this a perfect holiday location for both families with children and groups of friends. Dec 2012.
  2. Excellent - first class accommodation! May 2012.
  3. Fantastic property! We had an amazing time! Can not fault it! Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing break in an exceptionally beautiful house. April 2012.
  4. Beautiful house. Kids and dog loved the garden. Plenty of space for kids and dog to run around. House very warm and cosy. April 2012.
  5. This cottage was a great place for a family holiday. Quiet, yet walking distance from the shops and station in Kingussie. There was also a good library for a rainy day. It was a good location for our holiday which included water sports at Loch Insh and walking in the Cairn Gorms. Aug 2011.
  6. A lovely homely house to come home to in the evening. Great space for the children to run around. A few logs provided for the log burner for the first night would have been appreciated. The winking owl in Aviemore is a great place to eat. Landmark park a great day out for the kids. All in all a good base to tour from and lots of places to explore on the doorstep. Aug 2011.
  7. Very comfortable and cosy, a home from home. Particularly liked the sun room. Wonderful base for walking - the walk at the back of the golf course towards Newtonmore was excellent. We hope to be back next year. July 2011.
  8. Dunlorn was an excellent property to stay in. Everything in the house was of very high standard and there was more than enough indoor and outdoor space for everybody. The property was located in a quiet part of Kingussie and was on the edge of a couple of lovely walks around the town. Kingussie itself had plenty to offer, including a railway station which was useful as this enabled us to travel by train to Inverness and Avimore rather than driving, adding to the relaxation of our holiday. I would definately recommend this property to anyone wanting a beautiful time away either to just relax or visit the various places in the area. My family and I enjoyed the property so much we are definately thinking about going back again. June 2011.
  9. What a wonderful place, everything in the accommodation looked brand new, freshly painted, very tastefully done - couldn’t ask for more. April 2011.
  10. Fantastic house. We spent a week here in April 2011 and had a wonderful time. Well located, lovely decor, great garden and loved the sun room. April 2011.
