Having been renovated to a very good standard, this 19th century home boasts many original features. A picturesque family holiday retreat, with use of a thermally warmed outdoor pool (by prior arrangement). There are excellent scenic walks from the door, with many birds and wildlife to discover nearby, and a short drive from the Ashdown Forest with bridleways and footpaths. Conveniently located, London can be easily reached in just over an hour, and Brighton, with its superb Royal Pavilion, Prince Regent’s former residence, family entertainment, theatres, pier and popular beach, is within easy driving distance. Places of interest to visit include parks, English Heritage and National Trust properties and gardens, Wakehurst Place, Borde Hill and Sheffield Park are all within 10 miles. Visit the bustling historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, or explore bygone days in 1066 country, with the abbey ruins at Battle. There is also the Bluebell line steam railway nearby, an enchanting trip across the Sussex countryside. Shops and pubs 11/2 miles, including the Cat Inn at West Hoathly which has won the 2012 South East and London ’Good Pub of the Year’ award.

Open fire in living room included. Oil central heating included (£15per week November-March). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Small enclosed garden. Parking (2 cars). Use of outdoor swimming pool (10.4m x 5.2m, depth 1.1m to 2.4m) open mid May-mid September by prior arrangement. No smoking.
