Property Description

This first floor beach style apartment sits amid the owner’s landscaped garden but enjoys its own private terrace and sitting-out area. The apartment has superb views across Porth Island and beach and out to sea from the living room. This quiet spot is a few minutes stroll to Porth Beach, with its beachside pub, rock pools, caves, cafe and shop. Porth is a small, quiet bay between Newquay (15 minutes’ walk) and Watergate Bay (20 minutes’ walk), home to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant Fifteen Cornwall. The Eden Project, Padstow, with Rick Steins restaurants, Crealy Adventure Park, St Ives and Truro are all within easy reach. Discounted surf lessons available. Shops 800 yards, pubs and restaurants 200 yards.

Steps to entrance. All on first floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with wooden floor and steps to entrance. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with Velux. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Central heating and gas included (£20per week October-April). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. High chair on request. Two Freeview TVs. DVDs. CD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Courtyard with terrace and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (1 car). No smoking.

  4. A friend and I get together occasionally to spend a week doing landscape photography. For this trip we were aiming to photograph along the coast around Newquay. The accommodation was everything we were hoping it would be. It gave us a warm dry comfortable base from which to head out into the disappointing weather of the first week of November. I would recommend the property to others. The owner was great. Very helpful. I would say that the property is fairly compact but they have made great use of the space available. It felt modern, light, warm, with comfortable sofa’s and a nice clean kitchen area. Not sure if we’ll make it back to photograph in the area next year (not so far for my friend in Lancashire, but a bit of a trek for me coming down from the Scottish Borders) but if we do I’d say this would be on our list of places to try to book. Well done to the property owners for putting together a terrific little rental property. Oct 2011.

  8. The accommodation is in an ideal location for a stay in Newquay, the owners are lovely, the apartment is modern has a fantastic shower and 2 recliner settees, has everything you could possibly need, they even had body boards which saved us buying them, we had a fantastic time. July 2011.
  9. Friendly welcome from property owners, who were able to offer good local knowledge for best places for surfing lesson etc and places to eat. The property was extremely well presented with high quality home from home touches. The property is located at the rear of the owners house, however this turned out not to be an issue at all due to the design of the garden and friendly attitude of the owners. Overall an excellent property that we would recommend to others. May 2011.
