Property Description

Peacefully located only 130 metres from the beach on a small private residential marine estate, which borders on an AONB stretching several miles from Elmer to Littlehampton. The architect designed holiday house comprises of a detached property which can be split into two; one side is the larger main house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, connecting through the living room to a smaller, completely self contained section which sleeps 4 people, with one ground floor bedroom plus a galleried twin bedroom. The fairly open plan modern layout and furnishings are designed to give a relaxed ’beachy’ atmosphere. Conveniently located to explore the many attractions of the south coast, including Chichester, with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, Goodwood and Fontwell races, historic Arundel with its many antique shops, wonderful castle and Wild Fowl and Wetlands Bird Centre, bustling Brighton with its plentiful seaside activities and entertainment, plus the glorious rolling south downs close by. The area is also great for walking, windsurfing, swimming, sailing and fishing and has quiet unspoilt beaches even at the busiest time of year. Shop and pub 1/2 mile.

  1. A wonderful property for larger groups with loads of space and a great, child-friendly garden. Proximity to the sea and quiet beach was a real bonus. Lots to do in the local area - wish we could have stayed longer. June 2012.
  2. We would have welcomed some information about local amenities - restaurants, supermarkets, churches etc. As we were only there for a long weekend there was very little time for exploring or for doing our own research. Jan 2012.
  3. Lovely property located wonderfully close to the beach. We had 3 couples with 5 small children sharing the house and it was very well equipped. It was so useful to have 2 baths, one shower, 2 washing machines, 2 tumble driers etc.. We didn’t really rate Littlehampton, loved Hotham park, mixed feelings about Butlins, loved Arundel castle and the local soft play (the flying fortress) was good too. Best of all was the beach being so close and so empty when we visited over October half term. Overall a great enjoyable holiday. Oct 2011.
  4. The property is conveniently located close to shops/pubs and the beach, (best enjoyed at low tide when it’s sandy). The rooms are comfortable and spacious, well furnished. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly want to cook with. Sept 2011.
  5. Great house for a family of 9 and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Do need to get in the car if you want a day away from the beach. Great location for using the beach though and we found it very quiet as it’s a private estate, so very few other people on the beach when we were. July 2011.

  7. This is a great house for a party or a family gathering. With lots of different places for people to congregate, natter or just hideaway. Just enough space for 12 adults around the main kitchen table. Beware that one of the bedrooms has bunk beds. Great garden space, and only 5 mins walk from the beach. May 2011.
  8. The property was even better than than we expected. It was bigger and in better condition than we could have ever hoped. To have two lounges was ideal as the children played in one and we, the adults, could sit in the other lounge. Dec 2010.
  9. Situated about 100 yards from the beach and coastal walks. Had annex with small lounge/kitchen which enabled the junior members in the party to play games without disturbing the adults. Oct 2010.

  14. Although its open-plan design meant that the house could be noisy at times with two small babies in the party, it was a super house for a big family. We have been renting holiday homes in France, Germany and UK for at least 30 years. This is the best equipped house, with 3 bathrooms and a cloakroom and high-end kitchen and laundry appliances, that we have ever stayed in. In addition, the garden is ideal for small children - a good play area, no flowers to be destroyed by small feet/balls, etc. The owners could not have been more helpful. The only drawback for us was that we couldn’t access our mobile network or the Internet without going to the beach just over 100m away. Nothing to do with the owners or the set-up. The house just happened to be in a gap in T-mobile provision. June 2010.
