Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Cottage comfortable and has everything required, lounge, kitchen and dining area okay but not special. Lovely to sit in garden and look out to sea, weather permitting! Bedrooms lovely views and comfortable but be aware main room a walk through for 2nd bedroom and bathroom. June 2012.
  2. The location of this cottage was fantastic. The village was small and friendly and the local amenities were great. Dog walks were 100%. Although if you wanted the excitement of a big city then Dundee, St Andrews and Edinburgh were not too far away. We didnt feel the need to travel far and were quite happy to explore the beaches and fishing villages with in a 5-10 mile radius. Most of the time we were happy enough to park up and enjoy the cottage and its surroundings. The cottage itself was clean and there was everything there that you could need. Neighbours very friendly. All in all we are looking forward to returning there again. May 2012.
  3. Great dog-walking all around the area. A few pleasant dog-friendly pubs in the coastal villages, so very easy to eat out when you can’t leave your pet(s) unattended. March 2012.
  4. The cottage is nice, its layout is unusual and quite quirky. The sitting room and kitchen are down stairs from the main door and you go up a few steps from the main door to get to the main bedroom and en-suit bathroom. From the main bedroom you go up a flight of stairs with a gate at the top to go into the twin bedroom which is lovely. It has a sloping ceiling with beams and a fantastic view. The cottage is very well equiped, cosy and has plenty of hot water. Although the door opens onto the street the cottage is quiet. Parking is a little tricky but we were always quite close to our cottage. Anstruther is not far and we walked in several times. Plenty of places to eat there. We enjoyed award winning fish and chips and also found the other fish and chip shop to be very good too.I thought the waterfront restraunt was excellent. St Andrews is well worth a visit. We went to the marina, shops, tea room and exploring. There were lots of places to take the dogs for a walk. The owner phoned me before we went on holiday and was very helpfull telling us all about the area. I also bought a lovely painting that was displayed on the wall and was lucky enough to meet the artist Edward Turner who signed the back for me. Thankyou. Oct 2011.
  5. Absolutely fantastic location. Views amazing! Cottage was very comfortable. It was great waking up in the morning, looking out of the window and only seeing the sea. Quiet, peaceful and tranquil. The beaches at St Andrews, Tentsmuir and Elie excellent (dogs loved them). Garden excellent for dogs too. Sept 2011.
  6. We both fell in love with the cottage as soon as we walked in the door. Dolphin Cottage has a charm that overwhelmed us. June 2011.
  7. Superb cottage, views, location and area, all good. This was the best cottage holiday we have had (Including the dogs). The ambiance of the cottage and its location was such that we didn’t feel the need to drive around looking at the area. We were satisfied with what we had. Would book again for sure. The owners were very friendly on the phone prior to our visit and we had no need to contact them whilst we were there. All in all, excellent. Aug 2010.
  8. Excellent location and the cottage had everything we needed and more. July 2010.
  9. Quaint and near the sea. July 2010.
  10. Outside seating and proximity to seashore with excellent views out to sea. May 2010.
  11. Nice touches re chairs at top bedroom window with binoculars.Bottles whisky/sherry left. March 2010.
  12. Location, general comfort. Dec 2009.
  13. A cosy cottage with a rocky beach outside, great views of the Firth of Forth, and even the occasional dolphin swimming by. Oct 2009.
  14. I have been to this property 4 times now. It is always clean, cosy and welcoming. Sept 2009.
  15. This was perfect for our type of holiday. The gate on to the rock pools were good for our 13 year old son. The owner was helpful. We would recommend it to anyone who wants peace and quiet, book this one. Aug 2009.
  16. Cellerdyke is a lovely wee village with nice houses, facilities and an ideal based for visiting Fife or just relaxing.. Lovely out look over the Isle of May. Nice sheltered garden leading onto beach was enjoyed by the adults, kids and the dogs. July 2009.
