With an outlook over the Tweed Estuary towards the sea, only 10 minutes’ walk to the long sandy beach at Spittal and an excellent seafood restaurant close by, this cosy semi-detached holiday home is a good holiday destination. Set just opposite the docks in Tweedmouth, on the south side of the river from the historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, there is much to enjoy from the fishing villages of Eyemouth and Craster, to the seabirds swooping above the cliffs of St Abbs. Enjoy beach walks, golf courses, boat trips to the Farne Islands or even hill walking in the Cheviots. Berwick has good shopping, eateries and a small venue with plays, concerts and films. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. 1 twin bedroom. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with bath, shower attachment, shower cubicle and toilet.

Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. DVD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Freezer. On road parking. No smoking. Friday to Friday.

  10. The caretaker was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The cottage was close to good take aways and only a 10 minute walk from Berwick town centre. Very good rail links to Edinburgh and Newcastle and loads of places of interest near by. I would highly recommend a visit! June 2009.

Many holiday homes do not have the useful features you have in your everyday home, such as a spacious hallway with coat hooks and plenty of room for shoes/boots etc, racks on the radiators to dry towels or damp washing. I really appreciated these being included here. The house was surprisingly spacious with good sized rooms. April 2009.
