Property Description

Dalvuie Beag is a small, traditional detached West Highland holiday farmhouse situated in a peaceful location beneath the slopes of Ben Lora. Surrounded by fields with views of distant mountains and close to the sea, lochs and beaches, the farm has a small herd of cattle and flock of sheep with conservation of rich natural history a priority. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Ground floor: Living room with sofa bed. Dining room. Kitchen. Utility room. Sun room. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms with sloping ceilings: 1 double with en-suite toilet, 1 twin.

Open fire in living room, mutli-fuel burner in dining room (initial fuel included). NSH and electric panel heaters included (£25per week November-April). Electricity, bed linen, towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Grassed area with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Table tennis and cycle hire (by arrangement). Pet free of charge (kept under control - working farm). No smoking. NB: Pond in grounds, 80 yards.

  5. Delightful, well equipped and spacious and the owners were helpful. The trip around the farm was a bonus. We have stayed in cottages all over Europe and this was the best equipped and most spacious we can recall. Do not miss feeding time at the sea life centre, the otters are amazing. May 2012.

  9. The property was in a beautifully quiet location. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, a real home from home. The owners were very welcoming and were always willing to give you advice on places to visit. Have already booked to go back again next year. Poppies nursery do delicious lunch time meals, at a reasonable price too. A trip up to Inverness is worthwhile - the views were spectacular. Sept 2011.
  10. Excellent accommodation and ideal setting, the owners were very friendly and obliging, and us having our dog Betty was ideal as she was able to play with the owners dogs. Definitely a place we would return to in the future. Sept 2011.
  11. After 20 years of self catering, this was by far the best cottage we have ever stopped in. Its rating should be far higher. The owners were very good, and were there if you needed anything. The cottage was very clean, and very well equipped. We will be returning as soon as possible. Aug 2011.
  12. Perfect location - very peaceful - plenty to watch on the farm - a view from every window. The cottage was more than roomy for 4. It has everything for the perfect break. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. Would recommend this to everyone and we would certainly return. July 2011.

Kind, friedly, helpful hosts who were keen to show us the animals, birds and wildlife on the farm and tell us about good places to visit and places to eat. Lots of information leaflets available too. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
