Property Description

Dating back to the 15th century, Cymmo Farm occupies a stunning position in its very own 100-acre valley. The detached property is completely isolated in a sunny south facing position and offers nothing but peace and tranquillity with no intrusive rail, road or plane noises, just the delicate sounds of the surrounding local countryside. Renovated with complete sympathy retaining many original features such as beams, open fireplaces and wood flooring, the property now offers very good quality holiday accommodation. It has two separate living rooms and a large kitchen with a conservatory/dining/sitting area. There are three TVs, each with a DVD player, and digital radios in every bedroom.
Despite its wonderful location, Cymmo is only 4 miles from the bustling town of Llangollen, famous for its Eisteddfods and year round festivals. It also offers some top restaurants, bars and coffee shops, some unique craft outlets and for the more adventurous it is host to a number of water sports from white water rafting to canoeing. Younger guests often enjoy the trips on horse drawn barges along the canal and rides on the local steam train. From this point the whole of the Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible. Ideal for golf. Shops 4 miles, pub ½ mile.

First floor: 4 bedrooms: 3 double, one with en-suite bathroom and toilet, one with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin, all with beams. Bathroom with toilet. Second floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with toilet. Two Z-beds available.

Woodburners in living room, second living room and kitchen (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Two cots. Two high chairs. DVDs. Electric range cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Large enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Natural water supply from spring. Dogs welcome, to be kept on lead at all times (sheep country). No smoking. Friday to Friday. Couples and family bookings only.

  1. The farmhouse photographs dont do the house justice - it is absolutely beautiful and in amazing countryside. We were a party of 12 and there was bags of space for people to have time together or seperate quiet time. Lots of knooks and cranny’s. Superb!!! Dec 2012.
  2. Cymmo is quite isolated as indicated in the brochure but it is a fantastic location. The kitchen/dining area is fabulous. It is very large and meant we could all chat and socialise together whilst preparing meals etc. The beds are all very comfy. The whole house is quirky but cosy. The garden is totally enclosed so great for children or dogs. (We had no kids with us!) We managed to avoid the rain for our walks and had a fabulous time. We will definitely book again. Nov 2012.

  5. Even though I have left a review at the cottage I would just like to say the cottage is fantastic. The log fires are wonderful and the barn has lots of logs to use. The bedrooms and especially the bedding are the best. The kitchen, dinning room in the conservatory has seating for twelve or more and is lovely and light and a lovely place to sit and look at the magnificent views. It has everything you would need in here, even sledges in the barn that the kids used when it snowed one day. Toys, games, dvds that kids kept finding in cupboards all week, even a dolls house that my granddaughter just loved. There were 9 of us ranging from 3 to 60 (celebrating my husbands 60th) and it was the perfect holiday. Feb 2012.
  6. Cymmo is a fantasic house, the pictures don’t do it justice, we had a great time and its perfect for a big get together. Everything you could possibly want is supplied at the house, we really couldnt fault it and would not hesitate to return. Feb 2012.
  7. This property is excellent for a group get together. It has everything you need and a beautiful location so as you do not feel the need to leave. Although the local village of Llangollen has something for everyone. I could not recommend this place more. Feb 2012.

We used Cymmo for a family surprise 80th Birthday get together & what a surprise - fantastic location, wonderful house which "oozes" with character, plenty of room for people to mix together or separate off for quiet periods if required, very helpful owner & key holder & last but not least we had exceptional weather for January, so some of us even got to explore the countryside. Thank you for making our Mum’s 80th birthday one she will remember for a very long time. Jan 2012.

  13. The kitchen/conservatory dining room is fantastic. We never used the living rooms after the first night and spent all our time there.   20. The house is very spacious which was fantastic for our large family. For the first time, twelve of us spanning three generations were able to holiday together. We all particularly liked the large open plan kitchen/dining/conservatory room. We thought all the bedrooms were very charming and nicely decorated with the wooden beams and floors adding to the overall character of the house. The location of the property was spectacular, we didn’t want to come home. Aug 2009.
