Located at the end of a private lane on the edge of Cornwall’s highest village, these beautifully converted holiday barns form a secluded courtyard of 200-year-old granite buildings. Both have been refurbished and are tastefully furnished, with many character features, including slate floors, exposed beams and antique furnishings. Each has its own private sitting out area with unspoilt views over neighbouring fields or to the North Cornwall coast. Ideally situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor for exploring the landscape of tors and moorland. Enjoy riding, fishing and walking, and cycling on the Camel Trail. With windsurfing, sailing and surfing all within 12 miles, visitors can enjoy the best of coast and countryside, alternating their days between tranquil landscapes and seaside fun at the beaches on the north coast. Places of interest such as Port Isaac, Boscastle and Tintagel, as well as the National Trust property at Lanhydrock and the Eden Project are also within easy reach. Pub, renowned for its cuisine, and shop ¼ mile. Real ale pub 2½ miles.

  1. This cottage is not obvious, but the directions supplied lead you to its hiding place, which is private. Very good for people who want to tour North Cornwall and get a feel for being ’off the beaten track’. Excellent for dogs, lovely walks on the door step. A lovely welcome with provsions for tea/coffee & scones. Clean cottage comfort. Sept 2012.

  10. Property was very cosy. The layout was very good and very well equipped. My only criticism is that although they advertise the property for 2 dogs it was quite small (we took 2 medium dogs) with 4 adults. Also there was no secure area for the dogs which was disappointing. Dec 2009.
  11. Very rural location, quiet and secluded, walks available immediately from the Cottage. Only downside was that the advertised wood burner was difficult to operate and did not burn well. Nov 2009.

  13. It had what we needed for our holiday. The kitchen well equipped and the furniture was clean and well looked after. The weather was wet and the bedrooms were very cold at night. We were grateful for the log burner which we used most nights. It was inconvenient not to have a washing machine in the property although we were aware of that when we booked and were able to use the owners. July 2009.
