Carnkie Farm provides wonderful holiday accommodation in these single-storey adjoining properties, set on a small development of barn conversions. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside, it is an ideal base for visiting the north and south Cornish coasts. They proudly overlook Carn Brea monument with easy access to bridleways, walks, cycle trails, golf and the numerous surf beaches and coves. Drive to or enjoy an energetic walk up to Carn Brea Castle (restaurant) and monuments where there are dramatic views of the north and south coastlines. Stithians Water Park is a short drive away offering windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, fishing and bird watching. Wheal Buller horse riding centre with trekking lessons just half a mile. The Cornish Goldmine Centre, Portreath, Porthtowan, Gwithian and Hayle beaches all within easy reach. The area is now designated World Heritage status and has many fascinating mine shafts and history to explore. The Countryman pub providing great hospitality, local music nights and good food is just half a mile away. Easy access to the A30 making day trips to Falmouth, St Ives, Penzance, Newquay and the cathedral city of Truro within a short drive. Children have use of the climbing frame in the adjacent field. There is the opportunity to book more than one property for larger groups or families holidaying together. Shops, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

  1. Fantastic location in the heart of Cornwall - most of what is worth visiting is approximately 30 mins away. Supermarkets nearby, great playground to keep the kids busy (along with the chickens and rabbits early in the morning). Couldnt have asked for a better first time experience in Cornwall. The fact that one family in the cottage adjoining ours had visited three years in row speaks for itself. A credit to the owners. Aug 2011.

  4. Was well situated to explore Cornwall. Had everything we need to be able to cook and eat at the cottage. The overall finish on the property was very pleasing and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the bed could do with being a little more sturdy and comfortable! Aug 2010.

  8. We would come back and stay at Carnkie Farm again with no worries. We had every thing that we wanted for our stay. Rooms a nice size and everything to a very high standard. We was greeted by the owners on our arrival and felt very welcome. If you do stay at Carnkie Farm we recommend that you go to Carn Bea Castle - just across the road and along a short track (cars can go up the road). We had a brilliant meal on our last night and this concluded our break. We wished the owners had left a Visitors Book, we would have loved to have left a message (although we did leave a Thank You card). Nov 2009.
  9. The accommodation was central for access to Cornwall including Penzance, Falmouth within 30mins, Boscastle 90mins, Port Isac 60mins and will need a car. Tesco Extra within 10mins. Out in the country and quiet. Showering and cooking facility excellent. Sept 2009.
  10. This is a well appointed, clean, modern property. Generally well equipped. It is well located for travelling west Cornwall and in a quiet area. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Aug 2009.
