Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Home from Home had a great time. Nov 2012.
  2. A well appointed cottage with many home comforts. It is in a fantastic position for visiting the many attractions of Bath and Bristol. July 2012.
  3. A truly beautiful country cottage, a real home from home. Despite a week of near torrential rain we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cowslip Barn. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet within walking distance of a lovely pub and a short drive from attractions such as Bath and Cheddar Gorge Cowslip Barn comes highly recommended for a relaxing beak in lovely Somerset. April 2012.
  4. Cow slip barn is a wonderful property situated in a quiet area but within easy reach of all attractions. You can tell that the build of this cottage was a labour of love for the owners (look through all the photos) and personally, if we were to build a home, this would be it... we didn’t want leave and can’t wait to go back. Feb 2012.
  5. The barn is superb, a very high quality conversion in a beautiful setting. Well equipped, ideal for 2 couples sharing, with the bedrooms on either end, both with bathrooms, and living space in between. Within very easy reach of Wells, Glastonbury and other places of interest. The owners have gone to great lengths to provide local information and stocked cupboards with books, games and dvd’s for tenants’ enjoyment. A perfect holiday - we felt it would be equally good for over Christmas, with its atmosphere and lovely wood burning stove. Sept 2011.
  6. The best self catering property we have ever stayed in. Every little detail thought of. It felt like a real home as soon as we stepped in the door.Clean, well planned accommodation. Would like to have stayed........for ever. Sept 2011.
  7. This cottage is exceptional! The owners have paid great attention to detail and it was like going from home to home. Absolutely beautiful and the kids loved playing in the huge garden! It’s in a very lovely part of the country and there was plenty to do covering all ages and preferences. Aug 2011.
  8. Quiet location, a lot of space to spread out, both indoors and outside. Excellent extras such as board games for the kids, washing up liquid and bin bags. However, it is a long way between the two bedrooms so probably not ideal for parents with small children - excellent when they get older! July 2011.
  9. Cowslip Barn was an excellent property, very clean and everything was of a high standard, great idea that each bedroom had its own bathroom facilities, good to have some milk and cookies when we arrived and owner came a couple of hours after we arrived to check everything was ok. Lovely patio area, good base for Bath, Bristol and Cheddar Gorge. GREAT. June 2011.
  10. 5 star accommodation, beautiful area. April 2011.
  11. Very good layout for a couple with extended family or family with children, lots of small attention paid to small details that made it a true home from home. I cant praise it enough. Feb 2011.
  12. The accommodation was superb. The standard of the furnishing and fittings was excellent. We stayed over Christmas and the owner had trimmed the cottage up with a tree and other tasteful decorations. We contacted the owner before our visit asking if she knew anywhere we could go for a meal on Christmas day and she was really helpful. When the snow and bad weather hit England, she rang us to inform us that the roads surrounding the cottage were clear and running normally. The cottage had lots of features which made it homely such as a washing machine and dishwasher, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc, board games, books, DVD and CD player. Dec 2010.
  13. Superb accommodation with quality fittings. Nov 2010.
  14. An excellent barn conversion in immaculate condition. Oct 2010.
  15. Best layout in any cottage we have ever stayed in - 2 bed - 1 each end, and 2 bathrooms! Oct 2010.
  16. Absolutely delightful property, spotlessly clean and such a high standard of accommodation. Personal touches from the owners were much appreciated. Sept 2010.
  17. Good location, beautiful surroundings, inside the property furnished to a high standard. Aug 2010.
  18. Very quiet, excellent accommodation, 2 bathrooms brilliant - no excuses for teenagers not to shower! July 2010.
  19. Quiet, attractive situation yet close to pub/restaurant and convenient base for days out. The property had been furnished to the highest standards. July 2010.
  20. It was a beautiful property with lovely interior, spacious garden and everything had been thought of and provided. June 2010.
