Property Description

Situated on the edge of Broadwindsor on a small beef and sheep farm, this converted barn has been finished and decorated a very good standard and offers cosy, well-equipped, spacious holiday accommodation to give a real ‘home from home’ feel. There is a fishing lake for visitors to enjoy and a picnic can be enjoyed anywhere on the farm. The property is ideal for those wishing to relax and explore this beautiful part of West Dorset. Footpaths lead from the doorstep across the farm to the Iron Age hill fort of Waddon Hill and the surrounding countryside. The historic town of Beaminster (Thomas Hardy’s ‘Emminster’) is 3 miles, and both West Bay and Bridport, the setting for the hit TV series Broadchurch, are approximately 8 miles. The World Heritage Jurassic coastline incorporating the tropical micro climate of the Abbotsbury gardens and swannery, the spectacular Chesil beach, the fossil hunter’s paradise of the seaside towns of Charmouth and Lyme Regis, are all just 15 miles away. Shop 2½ miles, village pub ¼ mile.Situated on the edge of Broadwindsor on a small beef and sheep farm, these converted barns have been finished and decorated to the highest standards and offer cosy, well-equipped, spacious holiday accommodation to give a real ‘home from home’ feel. 9. Excellent value for money - this property was very well-appointed. The Kitchen and Bathrooms are new and very clean. With gated off road parking we couldn’t have asked for more. The property is close to the Dorset coastline with some excellent National Trust walks - especially Ringstead Bay. As for eating we would recommend "The West Bay" in West Bay and the "Smugglers Inn" at Osmington Mills. Feb 2008.
  10. Well equipped cottage, very clean. Friendly and helpful owners. Sept 2008.
  11. It was great just so clean and had everything we needed - I personally don’t like old furniture which the main bedroom had but others might love it so not a problem. Oct 2006.
