Nestling at the bottom of Clee Hill in the rural hamlet of Bitterley, the Cow Shed is a detached, single-storey converted barn on a ’mixed’ working farm. This beautifully presented holiday property has wonderful views over fields and hills, and retains many original features such as beams, yet with modern touches throughout. Ideally situated in superb walking country, yet within only 4 miles of Ludlow with Worcester, Bewdley and Shrewsbury within easy reach. Shops and pubs 11/2 miles.

Beamed living/dining room with French doors, wooden floor and well-equipped kitchen area. Two double bedrooms, each with 5ft bed (one zip & link); one with en-suite wet room and toilet, one with en-suite bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet (entrance also from hall).

  1. A beautifully laid out ’barn conversion’ which doesn’t look much externally but once inside... wow! The view over to Clee Hill from the sitting room is beautiful complete with cows and pheasants roaming around. Owner very attentive and helpful. It pays to look at the official Ludlow website first as there is lots going on at The Assembly Rooms and surrounding areas. There is the odd farm vehicle passing the property and the roads are narrow, so care is needed when driving. Nov 2012.
  2. This was probably the most relaxing cottage we have found. (We have been very remote but still found this better, apart from the occasional tractor). Sept 2012.
  3. We were very happy with our accommodation, it had all we needed and the owners were warm and friendly, even wanted to loan their 4 wheel drive when the flood happened. We were not effected by this. June 2012.

  5. It is a lovely spacious property. It would be great if you had friends around, as the dining table seats at least 8 and there is cutlery etc for 8, and it is well equipped for cooking. If you are 2 couples - only 1 bedroom has a view. The owner is very helpful and will provide anything you want.e.g cinema times, walk details. There is currently no internet access although the equipment is there. Oct 2011.
  6. Owner very kindly supplied a shower chair for me to use in wetroom. Local information folder would have been useful (i.e.Local Doctor,dentist,hospital,supermarkets etc)there were plenty of leaflets for places to visit but more basic information would have been useful.Very comfortable cottage - very relaxing stay. View out of patio doors fabulous. Hope to return in 2012. Thank you so much. Sept 2011.

  8. The accommodation was excellent, clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The cottage was in a lovely area with plenty to see and do, Ludlow is a great town to wander around and the scenery is marvellous. Although it was on a farm it was not noisy and we were not disturbed at all. June 2011.
  9. We found the Cowshed accommodated all our needs especially the access and being all on one level a real bonus. Loved the wet room and the other bathroom was also great( no queuing for the loo). All the mod cons made our stay that much more luxurious, it was nice to have Sky TV. The views were lovely and the location was very quiet despite being in and around a working farm. Would have also liked a bit more local information about the cottage and the area. July 2011.

  11. The property has been refurbished to a high standard with a very modern feel and is ideal for 2 couples as both bedrooms are doubles and both are ’en suite’. Feb 2011.

  16. The Cow Shed was a delight to stay at, everything was of the highest quality, it is comfortable and has everything needed to make your stay enjoyable. The location is quiet with no light or noise polution. My wife and I will be returning for another stay in the near future. Sept 2010.
