Situated at the foot of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cow Cottage is a semi-detached single storey converted barn with wooden beams and open fire. The holiday property has carefully chosen decor and furnishings which offer a stylish yet homely welcome. The area is well stocked with country pubs, medieval churches and good old fashioned shops. The spectacular Cheddar Gorge is only 5 miles away. The cathedral city of Wells, the Roman baths, abbey at Bath and the seaside resorts of Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are all within easy reach. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed and beams/dining room. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. 2 steps in hall.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Shared lawned garden and furniture. Parking (1 car). No smoking. Friday to Friday.

  2. The cottage was charming, excellent facilities, the kitchen so well stocked I could have cooked a 4 course meal. The welcome pack of home made cakes tea milk etc was delicious. Zoe has even left cosy dressing gowns for our use. The twice daily visits from Molly (the true owner of the cottage) was lovely. She even brought us a going away present of a tiny field Vole (I rescued it and set fee). I cannot fault this lovely little home from home. July 2012.

  4. Lovely,comfortable and well equipped cottage.Owner made us feel welcome from day one. The welcome tray of cake, milk and flowers was very thoughtful and appreciated. We enjoyed our stay very much. Centrally located to many interesting places to visit, we found Wells Cathedral awe inspiring, Bristol was not too far away as was Clarks Village for designer outlet shopping. May 2011.
  5. Despite the cottage being next to the owners’ property, we had our own entrance and it felt very private. It was exceptionally well kept, and the provision of home-made flapjacks and a pint of milk on arrival were lovely touches after a long journey! Would definitely recommend for exploring the local area. March 2011.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
