Property Description

Covesea Cottage is a quintessential seaside cottage perched right on the edge of the sea overlooking Kyleakin harbour with hills beyond. Originally a fisherman’s  cottage, this pretty detached stone cottage has been completely renovated and extended in recent years. It now provides bright, spacious and modern accommodation for four in a superb setting. The main living area is open plan. The lounge area has deep leather sofas, an open fire and a warm, homely ambience. The kitchen/dining area is separated by a low dividing wall with ship’s wheel providing an interesting focal point, in keeping with the surroundings. Large picture windows look out across the bay. With small fishing boats and craft bobbing in the foreground, the remnants of an historic castle on a wee island in view, and hills and mountains beyond, it is a constantly moving picture - much better than any television can provide! There are two good sized bedrooms and a modern bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. The cottage gardens are a real delight. The owner is an enthusiastic and talented gardener and this is reflected in the lovely shrubs and plants that are interspersed amongst the shingle. South facing and sheltered, it is an ideal spot to sit and admire the views.

Bathroom: With Jacuzzi bath, separate shower enclosure, WC and wash basin.

All gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. First supply of fuel for open fire provided. Cot and high chair available. Wi-fi facility.Cottage style gardens (not fully enclosed). Off road parking for 1 large car or 2 small cars. NB: Front garden adjoins water front, separated by low wall and there is a small burn adjoining.
