In the small village of Pilton, central Somerset, 3 miles south of Shepton Mallet, 6 miles east of Glastonbury Tor and 5 miles south of Wells, this detached holiday cottage for 2+2 (W40894) and these semi-detached bungalows for 2+2 (W40895 and W40896) are well presented and boast a massage shower as well as hairdryers in each property. Their location makes them ideal to explore this rich country with its many attractions, NT houses (Montacute House, Barrington Court and Tintinhull House), excellent scenery and walking. The enchanting Glastonbury Tor is a must, as well as Wells cathedral city with its quaint shopping centre and Bishops’ Palace, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and the Roman spa of Bath. Famous Somerset carnivals are held early to mid November and a little further afield visit the seaside resorts of Weston-super-Mare, Weymouth and Lyme Regis. The Fleet Air Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Clarks Factory Village and The Royal Bath and West Showground are also well worth a visit. Stourhead House and Gardens, Longleat House and Safari Park, or the Somerset Levels are all within easy driving distance. Shop 3 miles, pub with food 0.5 miles

  2. Lovely little cottage, Karen gave us a very warm welcome with some lovely touches. Fresh cut flowers, fresh milk with tea, coffee and shortbread. Loved the jacuzzi bath especially after the walking we did. Feb 2012.
  3. This is a great place to stay, its our second time and is a great base for visiting lots places. If you are into boot sales like we are, Chedder Gorge has a huge one sunday mornings which will take most of morning to get round. The Street is a great place as has big shopping mall there. It all depends what you in to but think there is something for everyone. Am sure we will be going back again. Oct 2011.

  9. The property was very well equipped especially as regards the kitchen, which we appreciated since we prefer to do our own cooking. We were also made feel very welcome by little things like milk in the fridge, biscuits or the stereo on when we arrived. Aug 2010.
  10. The accommodation had everything we needed and was of a very high standard. It had a contemporary bathroom with an excellent shower and a spa type bath. Really good quality with great features such as a DVD player, freeview TV, stereo, fresh flowers in each room and an amazing bathroom. . Absolutely lovely cottage - clean, modern and perfectly decorated. The bathroom is gorgeous - a high spec shower and a jacuzzi bath. Peaceful and quiet location too. I couldn’t fault it at all.   19. Great location. Property was very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Bathroom was amazing. The owner provided tea coffee sugar milk and biscuits for our arrival and there were flowers everywhere! Highly recommended. April 2009.
