This three storey, charming, 17th century, cosy Grade II listed town cottage is close to the centre of this medieval town and near to Michelin recommended restaurant ’La Becasse’. The holiday property has exposed beams, timber framed walls and woodburning stove creating the perfect atmosphere for a romantic holiday. Enjoy Ludlow’s 11th century castle, excellent pubs, restaurants, specialist shops and riverside walks. Shropshire is ideal for walkers with the Mortimer Forest, the long Mynd Hills, Church Stretton and the Stiperstones. Discover Ironbridge Gorge Museums and Shrewsbury. Shop 300 yards, pub 100 yards and restaurant 0.5 miles.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. Very steep open sided stairs to first floor: 1 double bedroom. Shower room. Very steep stairs to second floor: 1 double bedroom. Separate toilet. Beams throughout.

Woodburner in living room (fuel £15per week October-March). NSH, electricity, bed linen included. Video. Electric cooker. On road parking. No children except babes in arms. NB: Although there are beds for 4 guests, maximum occupancy is 3 guests.

  1. We enjoyed our stay despite the shortcomings already mentioned by other guests. Television set very small, and cottage would benefit from a good spring-clean. The wood-burning stove is one of its best attributes. Would visit again if ever in the area. Feb 2012.
  2. This is a lovely cottage for two fit people. The toilet is up 23 steep stairs and to get plates from the kitchen cupboard you have to stand on steps, reach to the left and hope for the best. It is a warm cottage and within easy walking distance of Ludlow centre. Ludlow is charming with lots of small independent traders and regular interesting markets. The countryside is beautiful and there are many walks to follow without using the car to get to them. Oct 2011.
  3. A cosy period house located very close to the town centre, although this is an uphill walk. Tesco store around the corner. Ludlow fish and chips were really good value. Aug 2011.
  4. Location exactly as required. No problem with parking. Cottage was very picturesque and the furnishings were in keeping. Unicorn pub a few doors away served good food with a good range of local real ales. Oct 2010.

  9. Lovely quaint property in an excellent location 1 minute from local and excellent public house! Property should not be booked by anyone with walking difficulties due to staircase which is not the easiest to negotiate. Jan 2006.
