Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Beautiful cottage. Made very welcome by owner. Royal Oak pub was very good. Food delicious. Quite steep hill to get there. Lindale Arms more basic food but had a curry and was very nice. Downhill to this one. Would love to return one day. Sept 2012.
  2. We had a fantastic family holiday. There were just the 3 of us (including my 3 1/2 year old daughter) and we were made incredibly welcome by the owner of the property to lived in a property attached to the cottage. The Village was quiet and picturesque and was located at the foot of the lakes district which was ideally situated for our planned activities. We thought that the cottage was immaculately presented and had all the facilities that we could possibly need - a real home from home. We were lucky with the weather and only had rain on 1 day of 7 ( a miracle seeing as the rest of the country was getting a soaking!) We particularly enjoyed quiet evening walks along the see front at Grange-over-Sands. We had a lovely evening meal at ’Cappucino’s’ situated in Grange-over-Sandswhere the food was and service were very good and fairly priced. We particularly liked Holker Hall where we spent a lovely afternoon and ’Aira Force’ a national Trust Waterfall which is beautiful and well worth a visit. It was even ok for a well behaved 3 1/2 year old but you would need to keep a close eye on little ones as there are some steep paths and some steep drops in places. My daughter particularly enjoyed the waterfall as she imagined that it was a fairy forest and spent the time looking for fairies which was lovely. Also worth a visit is Fell Foot park - again National Trust - it has many lovely picnic areas a delightful tea room on the waters edge and a great adventure playground. I could go on as there are just so many places to visit and packed so much into our holiday! June 2012.
  3. Very warm welcome - nothing too much trouble. Quietly helpful advice Visited Holker Hall - Gardens very accsessable to mobility scooter. May 2012.
  4. Coronation Cottage was a real surprise. It’s location is only a short drive from some of the Lake District’s most popular and beautiful attractions. The cottage itself had plenty of character and charm and was presented to the highest possible standard by the owner. It is a very clean but cosy property. We would love to return again in future at some point. July 2011.
  5. An immaculate cottage with a superb pub within easy walking distance. July 2011.
  6. A very cosy cottage in a convenient location in the lakes. Easy to drive to many attractions under 40mins. Lovely helpful owner. Not ideal for toddlers but for an older child and parents would be fantastic. July 2011.
  7. Having been here before says a lot, a lovely cottage ideally located to explore the area. A very warm and friendly welcome by the owner. June 2011.
  8. Fantastic holiday, great location and the cottage was perfect for our needs. The owner even installed a stair gate when she realised that one of her guests was under 2.
