This charming holiday bungalow is surrounded by an enclosed garden with pretty views across farmland, only 2½ miles from the delightful village of Cartmel with cobbled streets, pubs, restaurants, quaint shops and the famous 14th-century priory. The Edwardian spa town of Grange-over-Sands, 4½ miles, has a mile-long traffic free promenade, two golf courses and an excellent variety of shops and tea rooms. A mere 3 miles takes you to the southern tip of Lake Windermere with cruises on the Lake, the Aquarium of the Lakes and the Lakeside to Haverthwaite steam railway. Ideally placed to tour southern Lakeland and the Fells, walk the Cumbrian Coastal Way, or relax in the tranquil garden. Shop and pub 2½ miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. Conservatory. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity and bed linen included. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. No children under 4 years (property on a country lane).

An excellent base for touring the lake district and the ideal place to relax and unwind. Friendly and accommodating owner/representative on hand if required.   5. Lovely detached cottage situated in the countryside with access to lakes. This cottage has a beautiful conservatory, which we made constant use of when we were in. Well equipped holiday accommodation and very comfortable beds. I felt like I was on holiday every waking minute. Aug 2010.

  7. The property was good, a real cottage feel, in an excellent location. Very central for sight seeing, and even great location when spending a day at the cottage. Only 2 minute drive to the beautiful village of Cartmel. Children loved it and it made our Easter break, with the spring lambs all there on easter morning and the local church bells were ringing, and the sun was shining it was just great for easter break, we also visited Kendal, Bowness-on-Windermere only 15 mins drive, and also Ambleside. Only 5-10 mins drive to grange over sands. The children loved the walking from the cottage through the countryside, our only one regret was that we were not there long enough. April 2009.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
