Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. Situated in the grounds of the family working farm, they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

First floor: Gallery area with second living room. 1 double bedroom with beams and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

  10. Accommodation was pleasant, spacious, practical and well equipped. Owner was available for assistance when needed to advice on travel tips, walks etc. Lots of pleasant surprises, like: a vase of flowers from the garden on the table; the fireplace was ready to be lit with kindling and all, wood on the side; not only was there a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher available but there also were the materials like washing powder, tablets and towels, table cloths available to use. It all made us feel very welcome and taken care of. Oct 2009.

  16. The Barn was perfect for what we needed it was modern, clean and very warm what with the open fire and the underfloor heating! We had a fantastic weekend there and thought that it was fantastic value for Money. The only problem was the lack of mobile signal but that is not the fault of the owners in any way shape or form but it is something to consider. Nov 2008.
