Situated in the centre of the small historic market town of Presteigne, The Coach House has a shared courtyard garden and is a wing of the owner’s Georgian residence. With both bedrooms being en-suite and the wonderful features such as the antique French bed, this is a beautiful holiday base to explore the local areas. A real touch of quality. Presteigne is a pretty border town formerly of Radnor county and is an ideal central locatin for exploring the Welsh Marches and visiting historic sites and gardens. These include the award winning Judges Lodgings Museum. Being an ancient border town it has ten walks radiating from it. Offa’s Dyke is close by and the Heart of Wales Railway is a must as it meanders from Swansea in the south and Shrewsbury in the north, taking in 120 miles of glorious and varying countryside. There is fishing on the River Lugg and many trails to explore in Radnor Forest. Ludlow has some remarkable eating places or visit Hereford or Hay-on-Wye. Visit Hergest Croft Gardens, Berrington Hall, Ludlow Castle or Dunkerton’s Cider Musuem, or follow the cycle trails through the renowned black and white villages. You could even enjoy a special treat at a Michelin Star restaurant within 3 miles. Properties W40409, W40410, W41354, W41712 and W42756 can be booked together and are ideal for larger groups. Shops, pubs and restaurants within 200 yards.

  4. Presteigne is a lovely little town, very picturesque with friendly locals. Lots of little shops make it a very practical location too. I’d thoroughly recommend a visit to The Judge’s Lodgings in Presteigne if you appreciate historical buildings as it’s a real find. There are lots of lovely walks in the area as well, including Offa’s Dyke. The Coach House provided a real home from home, with all the amenities required. It had lovely decor and furnishings and a practical layout. The owners made us very welcome and we and our two dogs were very happy there. Nov 2011.
  5. A spacious, comfortable and very well appointed converted coach-house in a quiet, charming town with a mix of medieval and Georgian architecture. A small courtyard provides public access to the owner’s picture-framing studio but this, and the gates, are closed in the evening. Good local shops and a great centre for exploring this beautiful area. We (and our dog) were made very welcome. Sept 2011.
  6. Lovely holiday accommodation. Owners very friendly and helpful.Great area for walkers. Four pubs in the village but can only take dogs in two. Overall a very enjoyable holiday. April 2011.
  7. This is a very elegant apartment right in the centre of the village near to restaurants and shops. It has lots of beautiful original features and period furniture. As you would expect with an apartment it had a small but very well thought out kitchen area. There are lovely country walks from the door. It suited this family of four very well for our short break. The accommodation is in the centre of Presteigne and is of a high standard and extremely well presented with character features. There is a warm welcome from the owners. March 2011.
