Property Description

These Grade ll listed, attractive, 16th century barn conversions have been completely renovated to a very good standard. They offer glorious views over the rolling Devon countryside, and are ideally situated on a 300-acre working farm, between Cullompton and Honiton, an excellent location for exporing the many attractions nearby, including the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, 18 miles, Killerton House (NT), Crealy Adventure Park and the Lace Museum at Honiton, 7 miles. Also worth a visit are Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Branscombe. There is walking on the Blackdown Hills, or Dartmoor (within easy driving distance), and of course, Exeter cathedral city with its shops and restaurants. Set between Dartmoor and Exmoor, the cottages are well-placed to visit the quaint villages - and no visit would be complete without a Devon cream tea. Properties 27667 and 24677 can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests. Shops, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living room with French doors. Dining room/kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 twin, each with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Sloping ceilings and beams throughout.

  1. Excellent barn! Exceeded expectations. Fantastic kitchen with views of sheep to the side. The farmers wife took us all on an hours tour of the farm which was fantastic. Our kids (3 and 8 yrs) loved it and learnt loads about farming and animals (as did we!) Very relaxing, lots to do for the kids nearby (did two trips to Crealy Adventure park, second one is free) also Railway Centre brilliant. Highly recommended, nice to stay on a real working farm.   3. A fantastic barn conversion on a working farm. The owners gave us a tour, showing us lambs born that day, which added to our holiday experience. The location is excellent for Exmoor, Exeter and the south coast. Thoroughly recommend staying here. April 2012.

  6. Gorgeous barn conversion with 2 en suites and a downstairs cloak room,kitchen very well equipped, nice and clean! Weather was great and Bicton Park is a great day out families with little ones, close by. Killerton House from NT well worth a visit , we had a live piano performance on our visit and very nice grounds! March 2012.
  7. Very enlightening experience, the owner gave us a wonderful informative tour of the farm. My youngest daughter now wants to be a farmer! The location is peaceful and tranquil, yet still within reach of the hustle and bustle of the seaside and towns. Great sense of community within the village itself. Good for exploring the East Devon coast. Feb 2012.
  8. The cottage was wonderfully warm to come back to after a day out, and this was February! Lovely comfortable bed, extremely comprehensive kitchen with all we needed. Perhaps an occasional table in the lounge with a lamp so we didn’t have to have the main lights on would have been nice. Feb 2012.

The barn was fitted to a very high standard, lovely comfy beds, very warm despite the atrocious weather, fully equipped kitchen, a secure courtyard for children/dogs to be outside safely, a real home from home. Lovely location, with the option to take a tour around a very interesting farm - great for little ones. The owner was very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. As we spent New Year in the barn it was a lovely touch to find a decorated christmas tree, a christmas flower arrangement on the kitchen table and little stockings on the door handles. Great local pub, welcoming staff, good food and we joined the local village residents to see in the New Year. Highly recommend. Dec 2011.

  11. Although the Barn conversion is on a working farm, we had no noise at all, not even from the nearby sheep! The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well equipped. A very quiet location and friendly owners. Aug 2011.
  12. A perfect base for our holiday. Immaculate accommodation, amazing hospitality from the owners - made to feel really welcome. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Just the right distance from the coast to tempt you to visit different resorts and loads of inland places so visit. Can’t wait to go back next year. Aug 2011.
  13. This is a very smart and clean property in a really quiet location. The kitchen is excellently equipped. It was great having en suite to both bedrooms and an extra loo downstairs! The owners are really friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Highly recommended. July 2011.
