Property Description

This traditionally styled holiday cottage has been awarded the ’Bronze in Green Tourism Award’, and is adjacent to property 14110, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. With the dramatic backdrop of the often snowcapped Cairngorm mountains and hundreds of acres of Abernethy Forest (RSPB owned) Nethy Bridge spans the lower reaches of the River Nethy a mile before it reaches the River Spey, one of Scotland’s foremost salmon rivers. Outdoor activities include, fishing, tennis, bowling, golf, walking and skiing in winter. Shops and pub 1/2 mile.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with patio doors. Kitchen. Utility room. 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 2 twin, one with 2ft 6in beds (for children). Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Open fire in living room included. Oil central heating and electricity included (£35per week November-March). Bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed garden. Parking (2 cars). NB: There are 3 steps to the garden.

  1. Loved this property. Within walking distance (approx. 5-10 minutes) of the village shops (spar & butchers), and pub. Garden was properly enclosed, so great for the dogs. Last but not least the wildlife viewing from the windows was fabulous: red squirrels, deer, greater spotted woodpecker plus a numerous variety of smaller birds such as tits, finches, siskin etc. Would highly recommend. June 2012.

  4. The property was in a lovely quiet location, comfortably large enough for the 4 of us. The wild life makes it even better with red squirrels coming to feed from the bird boxes all day. Nov 2011.
  5. Excellent spacious cottage in a beautiful forest setting. Wildlife such as squirrels, pine martins woodpeckers and crested tits visit the garden. Area superb for walking and plenty to do on those not so good weather days. Sept 2011.
  6. Relaxing week at Clunymhore. Enjoyed the squirrels although we think the dog scared them off! Great enclosed garden for the dog. Well equipped house which we hope to return to another time. Sept 2011.
  7. Peoperty is good for short holidays, information is provided about the nearby places, it is also in a very peaceful locality. I think the price was ok but could have been a bit better. Overall satisifed. Thank you. June 2011.

  13. The location was wonderful. You felt as though you were part of the forest, as it is a forest village. I liked the long sofa, as I have back pain, which was good for me. There was plenty of windows to view the wildlife from. Red squirrell came to the windows daily and rod deer were viewable every evening close to the cottage. May 2010.
  14. The bungalow was light and airy and the enclosed garden meant that we had no worries about our 3 year old grandson’s safety. The location meant that we could access walks straight from the door. April 2010.

  18. The accommodation was excellent. Could not fault it. The wildlife in the garden and on the bird table was brilliant. The squirrels were superb. Anyone staying there, keep the bird table topped up, you’ll be amazed at what you see. The weather was fantastic - a bit too hot at times. All in all an excellent holiday. We would recommend Clunymhore without a doubt. We will be back next year. June 2009.
