A former Victorian quarryman’s cottage, Clee View Cottage is set in an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty in the rural village of Bedlam, and enjoys fabulous views over Shropshire towards the Welsh Marches. This renovated cottage offers cosy and tasteful accommodation over three floors, including quarry-tiled floors, comfy rocking chairs, and two woodburning stoves. Situated half way up Titterstone Clee Hill, guests can walk directly from the cottage onto the Shropshire Way. The surrounding countryside offers magnificent walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching. Medieval Ludlow, just 6 miles away, was once a seat of government in Tudor England and it has retained its character, with its Norman castle and church, medieval streets, listed buildings, as well as excellent restaurants, tea rooms, market and shops, with glimpses of the countryside at the very end of the street. Ludlow has become very well known to food lovers too, and has gained a reputation for being a sought after place in which to eat, with many quality restaurants and bistros in the town. Also famous for The Ludlow Food and Drink Festival held each year in September, guests will be able to visit and sample top quality local produce and Michelin starred cuisine. The cottage is within easy reach of Church Stretton at the foot of the Long Mynd, Shrewsbury, Leominster, the World Heritage Site at Ironbridge, the Severn Valley Railway, Stokesay Castle and the Roman city of Wroxeter. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
