This detached stone holiday cottage has been converted from a former ciderhouse. It is finished to a good standard and retains many original features. Set within the owner’s grounds in a peaceful location, ideal for wildlife and bird-watching. There is good walking from the cottage and in the adjacent Quantock Hills, and the popular West Somerset Railway is 2 miles away. Stop off at Watchet or Dunster and visit the Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre nearby. Within easy reach of Exmoor and the coast. Shops 3 miles and good pubs in the area, nearest 1 mile.

Beamed open-plan living/dining room, patio doors to south-facing terrace, garden, stream. Small modern fitted kitchen. Bathroom with over-bath shower, toilet. Open-tread spiral stairs to first floor: Galleried double bedroom, 6ft bed (can be twin), apex beamed ceiling, views over stream.

  3. I had a really good week at Cider Cottage with my Husband and our 5 month old lab. The cottage and garden was lovely and had everything that we wanted. We enjoyed walks on Quantock hills, (only 5 mins drive from the cottage), and trips to nearby beaches and harbours, including Watchet, Blue Anchor Bay and Porlock. I would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family and would like to return in the future. July 2012.

  7. Very well equipped cottage. We appreciated the local maps and help to find the back roads so we could walk to the nearest pub - The farmer’s Arms - for a very good meal. Very firm, comfortable bed. It was great to have clear information on what we could recycle - so often we’ve had to throw away recyclable materials at the end of a holiday as we didn’t have room to take them home for recycling, but there were ample facilities here for recycling. The owners were very helpful. July 2011.
