Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely comfortable property within walking distance of a great village pub (20 minutes). June 2012.
  2. The accommodation was fantastic, you couldn’t wish for more. The cottage was beautifully clean, but it was the little touches like the fresh flowers, the cream tea, bread, butter and milk that showed the owner had gone that extra mile to ensure a happy stay. We would highly reccomend this cottage. April 2012.
  3. A lovely cottage which has character and modern conveniences. It was immaculately clean and we were greeted with a cream tea and fresh bread, milk and butter on arrival. A lovely place to stay. Great location near Barnstaple and the village of Chittlehampton though not walking distance. Aug 2011.
  4. Great cottage and very thoughtfully presented. Cream tea on arrival was very much appreciated. The little things that you often forget to take with you (hand soap, washing up liquid, kitchen roll etc) was all provided which was lovely. The comfortable bed provided the best nights sleep we’ve had in ages! June 2011.
  5. Very high standard of accommodation.Very cosy with the woodburner in the evening. March 2011.
  6. Home from home everything provided, dishwasher,fridge-freezer etc, even cream tea. Logs, matches and fire lighters. Books to read, dvd’s and loads of tourist info. Also effective central heating. Feb 2011.
  7. The property has been renovated to an excellent standard. It was wonderfully clean and welcoming and a really lovely place to spend a holiday. My partner, myself and my dog all had a great time and plan to stay here again. Nov 2010.
  8. Cider Barn is a sympathetically renovated and converted barn - part of a complex of a number of similar cottages with a central courtyard attractively presented with large fishponds. June 2010.
  9. Very well decorated and furnished cottage which is of a large size for just two people. Lots of nice luxury features such as the four poster bed and jacuzzi bath. Peaceful setting. June 2010.
  10. Fantastic cottage. Lovely warm welcome by the owners with lots of extras and very very well equipped thoughout. Perfect. April 2010.
  11. The property was beautifully presented, lovely size, open plan living room & kitchen was perfect. March 2010.
  12. All the rooms were decorated to a very high standard. Facilities excellent, information to attractions very good. Oct 2009.
  13. The accommodation was extremely well looked after and decorated, clean and comfortable. Oct 2009.
  14. The property had a real cosy feel to it with the wood burner lit and the whirlpool bath was a great way to wind down after a day of exploring the countryside. Oct 2009.
  15. Nice open plan layout with incredibly uncomfortable sofas! Sept 2009.
  16. Lovely property, warm welcome nice and clean well presented. July 2009.
  17. The Cider Barn was exactly what we needed. Quiet and comfortable with a log burner to keep us cosy. We returned to work refreshed and relaxed. Feb 2009.
  18. It was light and airy and provided ample room for two people. It is a shame that the outside surroundings are scruffy but that is possibly an on-going project. There were good areas to walk dogs. Sept 2009.
  19. Attention to detail was evident and much appreciated, such as the fresh bread and scones and leaving a tv guide and directions around the area were helpful and thoughtful. The jacuzzi bath was great and so was the modern flat screen tv in the lounge. The only points I would make on negative side would be that the cobwebs at ceiling level should have been removed and I think a recycling bin would be a very good idea. Other than that a very pleasant stay in the countryside. Oct 2009.
  20. The accommodation excelled. In it’s own right. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful, and went the extra mile to make you very welcome. Jan 2009.
