Property Description

This holiday cottage is situated in the village of Cubert, which is perfectly situated to enjoy the charms of Cornwall but only minutes from the sandy beach at Holywell Bay. Cubert is close to Newquay, Perranporth, Crantock and St Agnes on the coast, and also close to Cornwall’s capital, Truro. Surfing, golf, swimming, horse riding, and cycling are all available locally. Padstow and Watergate Bay are close by. Shop and restaurant 30 yards, pub ½ mile.

Ground floor: Living room with beams and flagstone floor. Dining room/kitchen with tiled floor. Sun room. Utility room. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 2 single, both with additional pull-out single (for child). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Low ceilings and doorways throughout.

Economy 7 central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Small enclosed courtyard and furniture. Parking (1 car). No smoking.

  1. Lovely, well equipped cottage set in a good location near to local beaches.The nearby beach at Crantock was great for surf lessons for the kids- very good value! The local Smugglers Inn was excellent for meals out. July 2012.
  2. The cottage was well presented, the welcome package of tea and milk was a nice touch, towels included, we had a electrical problem while we were there and it was dealt with very quickly and which we were grateful for. June 2012.

A beautiful cottage with such a homely feel, really lovely touches like fresh flowers in the main bedroom and lounge as well as the biscuits etc :) we would definitely visit again. this was our 1st stay in a cottage that welcomes dogs, and we were a little concerned it may smell of animals (even though we took our dog) but we had no need to worry it was very clean! The cottage also benefits from being just opposite a large village green to walk our dog, and within 20 yards of the local post office and restaurant, a very short drive to wonderful beaches. We could not of asked to stay in a nicer place. Feb 2012.
  6. Very comfy indeed. Kitchen was excellent and well equipped. The local store had everything you needed. The cottage was well situated for us, our son living in Fistral. We shall return. Oct 2011.

  9. The cottage was extremely clean and homely feeling. There were lots of extras, a tea tray and biscuits when we arrived, information about the area & flowers in the rooms, which were great. July 2011.

Churchtown Cottage is in an excellent situation for a holiday on the North Cornish coast, being one mile from the sea along the country road or a bit longer along beautiful footpaths through glorious scenery. A lovely thatched pub, serving good real ale and delicious food is half a mile across the fields. The cottage has sun in the morning at the front (it was lovely to sit in the front garden with our coffee)and later in the day, in the back garden, with a glass of wine! It’s a perfect sun-trap. I would highly recommend the cottage. April 2011.

  14. The cottage was a good size for the two of us and our Labrador. We also had a friend visit for 3 days. It was nicely furnished and kept simple, no clutter. There was loads of local info available. We also had a washing machine and dishwasher. The fresh flowers and milk, tea & Cornish Fairings as a welcome was lovely too. Sept 2010.

  20. Nothing was too much trouble and it was lovely to be greeted as guests; there was a complimentary tray of refreshments waiting upon our arrival. Everywhere was immaculate and the fact that dogs are allowed is a bonus.In our experience, places that accept dogs are not usually furnished with high quality goods, but this was exceptional. The owners have really succeeded in providing a haven for a holiday. March 2010.
