This attractive holiday cottage set on the edge of the Peak District National Park has been sympathetically renovated, from a former church, parts of which date back to 1832, retaining many original features. Excellent walks close by on the Kinder Scout Massiff and Sett Valley Nature Trail. Buxton and Bakewell are easily accessible as are Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. The cave village of Castleton, plague village of Eyam and the village of Holmfirth are all an easy drive. There are also good road and rail links to Manchester city centre with all its cultural, sporting, retail and leisure facilities. Golf and horse riding nearby. Shop 1 mile, pub 200 yards.

This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route, come and experience the spectacular scenery for yourself and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.

  11. I have stayed in a number of your properties with friends and this one was by far the best. The cottage was well thought out with excellent furnishings and the kitchen came with everything we needed. The entrance porch was excellent for storing walking gear, meaning we did not have to trample dirty boots through the rest of the cottage. May 2007.
