A spacious detached holiday property with a cosy living room with glass fronted fire. Outside, there is a panoramic view over open fields to the rear and a covered wooden terrace, ideal for outdoor dining. Guests are welcome to visit the owner’s organic farm, and see the cows being milked. Nearby is the magnificent Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park and the landscape of Thousand Ponds, a haven for rambling and fishing. Within easy reach are the spa towns of Plombières and Luxeuil.

  1. In an area rarely visited there is so much to do and visit from the simple to the lavish. Being within the village one heard all the day to day functions of the french way of life from the farmers to dustmen to the vide Grenier. Aug 2011.
  2. It was the best equipped house we have ever stayed in (20 years) Owners were very helpful masses of information both in English and French the milk from the farm was to die for. You could cycle for bread on a morning. Visit Polmeres Les Bains early in your stay. July 2011.

  5. Absolutely delightful. Really well equipped, the owners, Brigitte and Pierre, were there with a warm welcome and left some lovely local produce as well hosting us at there farm; lovely peiple. The house is beautiful and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were made; towels were supplied; the outside area is lovely (great barbecue and they’d even supplied charcoal; inside was cosy with a log fire if required, table football, boules and table tennis, onfo on the area supplied.   8. This is the most beautiful and well equipped gite which we have stayed in. The garden and terrace were perfect for eating, drinking and relaxing. The children particularly enjoyed the table tennis table and table football. Bridgitte and Pierre were extremely friendly and welcoming. The accommodation and holiday as a whole exceeded our expectations. We had a great time and will definitely have further holidays there. Aug 2009.
  9. The property is in a very quiet village/hamlet. The property caters well for children of all ages with both indoor and outdoor toys and games provided. The large garden backs out onto open fields. The fireplace kept the whole house warm. It was quick and easy to light although it was only needed on a couple of evenings. June 2009.

  12. This is a beautiful gite converted from a farm in a quite village with picturesque views. The gite is incredibly well equipped - everything you can possibly need. The owners are helpful and friendly (she works in the tourist office and can offer lots of advice) and invite you to their local farm to watch the cows being milked. The area is relatively quiet and unspoilt. July 2009.
  13. Chez L’hote was the best holiday home I have ever stayed in, it is well planned and has everything in the property that you could ever need, including a baby’s potty. The owners were the most friendly and helpful people that I have also had the pleasure to deal with. May 2009.
