Situated just 1km from the centre of St. Rémy this semi-detached holiday villa, located in a gated development, is comfortably furnished and offers a peaceful retreat after a day exploring Provence. Wednesday is market day in St. Rémy, there you will find a wealth of locally produced food and wine. Take your treasure home and dine alfresco on one of the property’s terraces or try any of the numerous restaurants available in town. For those interested in Roman history there is a site at Glanum, just outside St. Rémy. Also less than an hour’s drive away, there is a feat of engineering, the Pont du Gard, with Roman remains nearby at Nîmes. Try Nîmes for a little shopping or go see what cosmopolitan Aix-en-Provence or Avignon have to offer. Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is an excellent spot for a day at the beach offering on the drive down there the chance to see wildlife in the well loved national park of Camargue.

  1. Property excellent, could have done with a arrival pack with all info regarding instructions on using electrical appliances. Had to sift around to find them. Needed to be in a folder all together. Sept 2012.
  2. Great property with excellent pool, minor niggles - poolside furniture was getting tired - leg came off one recliner, but no injury. July 2012.
  3. We have now rented this property twice. The pool is safe and easily supervised. The location is superb if you run or cycle seriously. The Alpilles are a fantastic location to train. Aug 2011.

Good quality cottage, well stocked and large living area, under 15 mins walk to st remy but along a slightly overgrown canal path or busy road with no pavement (ok in daylight, not great if dark). Nice pool, not overlooked. Could do with trimming trees to let more sunlight through at rear. Recommend cottage to others. July 2011.

  7. The house is in a quiet area shared with other rental properties and French residents. It is 15 mins from town on-foot. The house is at the foot of the Alpilles (small mountains) so excellent if you run. The pool is great for young swimmers and can be supervised from the kitchen / patio area. The house is well equipped and everything worked. We would re-book this property. Not one for those that want an old world cottage: it is new. Aug 2010.
