Property Description

In an acre of grounds, with its own heated swimming pool, this superbly renovated Breton stone house has a rural location near to both Bénodet and Beg Meil. Bénodet is a lively resort with plenty of promenade cafés, shops, restaurants, safe beaches and excellent water sports facilities, while nearby Beg Meil is quieter, with just a few shops and restaurants. The property interior is very attractive - furnished and equipped to a good standard - with a large living room and a feature stone fireplace. A stone table with benches, garden furniture and barbecue have been thoughtfully provided by the owners. Just across the estuary lies the lively little port of Ste. Marine, which holds summer exhibitions and festivals, and has a restaurant overlooking the harbour. The nearest beach is only 2km away, and there are others a little further.

Location: 2km from Kerler (beach) and Golf de l’Odet (18-holes), 3km E of Bénodet (most facilities, pavement cafés, restaurants, watersports, golf), 4km from Main Plage/Le Letty (super beaches), 16km S of Quimper, 88km from Brest (airport).

  1. Property was in a lovely rural location, but a vehicle would be required to access any amenities. Property itself was in a gorgeous setting - grounds and pool were fantastic and very peaceful. Owner was lovely. House was as expected, fairly traditional/French (which is what we wanted) but well equipped. In regard to comfort of seating in lounge area - a wee bit sparse - as we did not have fantastic weather and spent a bit of time relaxing indoors. Shower (not a power shower - although adequate), however we did experience very limited hot water. Heating - we could have benefited from using the heating at times, as weather was cool, but have been severely stung by paying for heating used before in a self catering property, so were unwilling to do so, as paperwork stated payment for heating used be charged on departure, ( otherwise, a lovely, peaceful holiday in a lovely property (much more relaxing than previous "camping" experiences in France) and one we will probably repeat. June 2012.
