Enjoy stunning views from this attractive stone house, which is well equipped and furnished to a high standard. The bedrooms and bathroom are spacious and with beamed ceilings and wood floors the property has a true country cottage feel to it.

The large garden is well equipped, and for those long, hot summer days there is a raised swimming pool (private). Peacefully located (the owner lives next door), the property provides an excellent base to discover Provence, with interesting and varied excursions awaiting in all directions.

To the north, discover Isle sur-la-Sorgue, Gordes and Fontaine de Vaucluse. To the west, the historical town of Avignon and the charming village of Saint Rémy-de-Provence. To the south, enjoy both Salon-de-Provence and Aix -en-Provence. And to the west, the beautiful Luberon mountain range and gorgeous village of Lourmarin, (all within 50km).

Ground floor: Lounge, kitchen/diner, 1 double bedroom. First floor: Bathroom with shower over bath and separate shower (no toilet), separate toilet, 2 double bedrooms, plus two single beds.

Electric heater, cot, highchair, colour TV, DVD player, cassette/CD player, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, garden, terrace, garden furniture, barbecue, shared off road parking for 3 cars. Sorry, no pets.

  1. Spacious accommodation, fantastic kitchen and bathroom. Ideal for families with small or older children. Pool very clean and good fun. Village nearby for basics, handy for motorway. Lots of pretty villages within a short drive. Only drawback to be aware of is the turn off from the village road is quite tight and the traffic can be quite fast on that road. Also the travel directions need to include taking the right hand exit road as soon as you pass through the toll booth at the motorway exit point. July 2012.
  2. We have just returned from a delightful two weeks at the property! It is very spacious and equipped with all that you need. There is plenty of shade outdoors if the heat becomes too much and the pool more than exceeded our expectations - whilst not swimming pool length you were able to have a leisurely swim up and down - about 6/7 of my amateur strokes got you from one side to another!! We felt the property was excellent value for money and ideally located to visit the surrounding area. A real gem. July 2012.

  5. Lovely house with 3 very large bedrooms, and 1 very large bathroom. There is sufficient room in each bedroom to have an en-suite, and to have at least 1 other bathroom in the house would be a great help, but overall it was a great location and the house was lovely. The only suggestion if one decides to go to Nice/Monaco area would be to make an overnight stay rather than drive back and forth. Loads to see in the area, Nimes, Avignon, The Camargue and loads more. Oct 2011.
  6. This cottage was perfect for us. I visited with my husband, mother-in-law, and two-year-old son. The location was ideal for our day-trips (Isle Sur la Sorgue, Gordes, Les Baux, St Remy, Lourmarin, Avignon, Pont du Gard, Arles). We had wonderful mornings opening up all the doors and windows onto the garden and pottering around with breakfast and coffee while our son explored outside. We found a trail maybe 100 meters up the road that runs alongside a canal; great for a serene run or stroll. We enjoyed the Auberge restaurant in Cheval Blanc and also the starred Privot in Cavaillon (they make melon pastis!- we brought some home). Very cute cottage, met all our needs, we’d go back to this one again. Oct 2011.

  8. Amazing cottage, very spacious, modern and clean. Lovely outside seating and pool area, too. Pool wasn’t very deep, but sufficed. The cottage is in a fairly isolated spot, so would recommend car rental for the duration of your trip. May 2011.

  10. The property has a real ’French style’ feel about it. It is in a quiet setting, not overlooked and has a view of mountains from the property. The house has been renovated tastefully and has lots of extra little somethings, hidden all over the house and garden that make it a surprise and shows lots of thought has gone into providing a comfortable house.   15. The property probably exceeded our expectations in that it was better than the internet photos viewed. It was spacious and in a peaceful location despite being so close to the motorway. July 2009.

Cheval Blanc is a great location for exploring pretty villages in the Luberon mountains to the east, and for easy access by road to places like Gordes and Cote du Rhone country to the north and Avignon/Pont du Gard to the west. Swimming pool was really good but a bit cold when the air temperature dropped below 32c. Kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom was huge. July 2009.
