Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Really clean and comfortable accommodation with the kitchen stocked with all that you need for a short break. The owner and her family were really helpful. The brochure should state clearly that there is an additional fee for the use of the gym and spa facilities although it is not too expensive. Oct 2012.
  2. Lovely kitchen and bathroom - but surprised there were no teacups available, only glasses or huge mugs. Apart from that, kitchen was splendidly equipped. July 2012.
  3. Cosy and well equipped, helpful owner nearby. Virtually no mobile signal but telephone box right next to cottage. June 2012.
  4. Excellent location for walking and visiting coastal towns, extremely helpful owners. A great property for young families and older couples. March 2012.
  5. Our cottage (more like a cabin/chalet) was really very spacious yet cosy, equipped to a high standard and a great location for exploring. It’s in a rural spot, yet 10 minutes drive to shops (incl Tesco, Waitrose) in Lewes. The grounds are lovely and I would highly recommend for small children, with the property being on one level with large lounge/diner area to play in, gated courtyard they can run in and chickens/ducks, horses and a fenced field play area they can enjoy. We did not use the hot tub or sauna as I was pregnant but this also seems a real bonus to the property. Lovely modern bathroom and kitchen too. Feb 2012.
  6. A warm welcome from owner who gave us good advice on local area, and also supplied milk on our arrival for a nice cup of tea.lodge was of a high standard and felt home from home.my children loved the field adjacent of lodge to play football and other games, such as swingball and badminton, which was supplied.the hot tub was a real bonus which we all enjoyed on a wet morning.a vast library of dvds were available to watch as well. Will definitely go back again. July 2011.
  7. Great place to stay this is the second time I have been there and would definitely use it again. Clean, frendly owners; great all round. Jan 2011.
  8. Good location, easy access to beaches and shopping areas. Sept 2010.
  9. Having stayed before in this accommodation we were in the Elm Lodge which has it’s own private garden which is very secure with 2 dogs - with a gate to the fishing lake which is superb for walks. Everything is well planned and it is just like home from home. Aug 2010.
  10. Very comfortable and well equipped. Aug 2010.
  11. Comfortable, airy and most needs provided for. Aug 2010.
  12. Very caringly decorated considering it was Christmas - very festive and warm. Dec 2009.
  13. Clean and well furnished and had a homely feel. Dec 2009.
  14. Friendly welcome, cosy accommodation. Oct 2009.
  15. Jenny was very welcoming and the property was superb. To have the use of sauna and hot tub to ourselves was such an added bonus and huge value for money. Had 2 dogs and it was so safe for them in the enclosed courtyard. Will definitely be back. June 2009.
  16. The cottage was ideal for our dog in that there was an enclosed courtyard and the owner was most welcoming but not intrusive. May 2009.
  17. The property was well equipped, home from home. Little touches such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge on arrival. Jenny is so welcoming and remembered us and the dogs. The property is ideal for us as one of the pets is blind so an enclosed courtyard just took the worry out of the holiday. Aug 2009.
  18. The situation of the property is super. Lovely walks on site. Geese and ducks kept us amused. A real home from home. Sept 2008.
  19. Very friendly and helpful owner who takes pride in the accommodation, e.g. flowers inside the lodge and very pretty communal patio area. May 2008.
  20. I stayed at chestnut lodge with decoy cottages in laughton and this was the best weekend iv’e had in a long time, the owner was outstanding on all aspects of our stay. Feb 2008.
