Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The cottage was very clean and cosy, the kitchen had every appliance, the t.v/dvd was small and cables had to be changed. We had trouble with the heating, which we could not work and the little fire didn’t work,as the weather was appallingly wet and cold we could have done with heat and somewhere to hang our wet coats, etc. Parking was on the High Street, which didn’t cause us too much of a problem. The small courtyard was a misnomer as it had no space for the dogs to exercise, however the beach was only across the road and a small public garden nearby. Our holiday was cut short because of the weather, but given some sunshine it could have been a good place to stay as a base, particularly for lovers of water sports. The welcome package was very brilliant. June 2012.
  2. Lovely Cottage but needs a bit of maintenance done on the decor, but overall very comfortable, clean and has provided everything that you will need. Loads of parking nearby and really close to shops, beach and walks (lovely to take dogs on). Had a fantastic weekend and will go back again in the future. March 2012.
  3. Good for a long weekend. Interesting location practically on Chesil beach. Other Dorset locations in good hitting distance. Good pub food or other five minutes away. Very convenient. Oct 2011.
  4. A small cottage near the chesil beach (can hear the waves on the shingle in lulls in the traffic)Comfortable and just what we wanted. The weather was quite amazing, unexpected but very welcome. We did lots of walking and cycled around Weymouth. Ideal little place. Sept 2011.
  5. A cosy, well appointed cottage in a great location. Easy to park close, but not in front of the cottage and 30 second walk to Chesil Beach. Local shops are either a walk up a steep hill or a short drive and there is a pub opposite the cottage and other restuarants a short walk anyway. Owner had kindly left a very welcome basket including milk, sugar, teabags, biscuits and wine! March 2011.
  6. Just a very nice cottage to stay in, It was our second stay there & it was just as good as the first time. The location of the cottage is very good for a base for exploring around the area. Sept 2010.
  7. Chesil Cottage was a lovely cottage in an ideal location in which to explore the South coast. May 2010.
  8. Charming and comfortable. Very convenient for the beach. April 2010.
  9. Location excellent, warmth of cottage made it extremely comfortable, amenities we all you needed to make it a home from home. Feb 2010.
  10. I would recommend this cottage it was brilliant, we stayed for xmas, it was cosy yet it was big enough. The bedrooms were lovely and a good bathroom, kitchen was bigger than mine. We were left a welcome box which was great and much appreciated, altogether a really lovely cottage. We took the dogs and they loved the walks and the beach, just great. Dec 2009.
  11. Initial impression... ok, but got to love the cottage and how central it was to everything. Nov 2009.
  12. Clean, comfortable, great location. Sept 2009.
  13. It was a lovely cottage, real rustic feel and in good location. Aug 2009.
  14. The welcome package was really lovely. June 2008.
  15. Excellent location for walks and as a base for sightseeing in Dorset. Excellent local amenities and friendly locals in a quiet neighbourhood. April 2008.
  16. Everything we could have needed was provided for within the cottage. An enjoyable holiday, even for the time of year. Nov 2007.
  17. Very comfortable!! Dec 2007.
  18. The cottage was lovely and incredibly clean and all fittings etc were well maintained and fresh. The owner left a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits, wine and milk and had also added sweet festive touches. The property was comfortable with a fab shower. I also brought my two dogs with me, and it’s always good when I can do that. Unlike some properties that allow dogs, this cottage was not at all doggy or dog smelly and furnishings, despite the visitors book referring to lots of doggy guests was not remotely doggy or hairy which was lovely. Well located for Portland and easy access to the Dorset coats. Dec 2007.
  19. A lovely, quirky property to stay in that was a good base for the surrounding area. Sept 2006.
