1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

Once the residence of the farm labourers and herdsmen, this charming holiday cottage has been carefully modified without compromising the character and features that are part of its history. It occupies a superb position overlooking the rolling hills that make up the Shropshire countryside. The cosy living room gives a homely feel and the garden is ideal for dining al fresco in the summer months. This is a central location for enjoying the activities on offer in Ludlow, Clun, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury Ironbridge and Bridgenorth. Shops 2 miles, pubs 11/2 miles.

Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen, Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Steep, narrow tread stairs to first floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Parking (2 cars). Video. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Large, lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. No smoking.

  2. The cottage is well located for access to the many attractions in the area. We liked it for its isolation and general amenities. Tips for other visitors: it is a small old cottage, isolated and with a septic tank. It’s comfortable and lovely, but not a 5-star hotel. If that’s what you want, go to a 5-star hotel! Read the details on the website, read the instructions that the owner provides (especially about refuse/recycling arrangements) and there should be no surprises or disappointments. This cottage is actually provided with more than we’d expected in the way of catering, but it is still essential to take anything you feel you need and not expect it to be provided. There’s a brilliant farmshop just north of Craven Arms, and others in the area. Craven Arms has a good general store that sells just about everything, and good takeaways. There’s a wealth of good pubs and eateries within a short distance in all directions. If being in middle of farmland, away from it all is your thing, you will enjoy a relaxing and peaceful stay in this charming cottage. June 2011.

  10. The cottage was extremely cosy. Everything was provided and there was even a welcome pack of tea, coffee and biscuits - most appreciated. The only thing I would say is that there should be some mention of the single track road that leads to the cottage. We had a van and found is a little bit difficult to get along the road at times.
