Property Description

Located on the outskirts of Chamonix overlooking Lake Gailland, this alpine house offers wonderful panoramic views of Mont Blanc and surrounding mountains. The holiday property is both comfortable and modern, enjoying an inviting living room with fireplace, dining room leading to terrace, and double bedroom with magnificent views from the balcony. There is a lawned garden area to the rear, bordered by a stream, with dining furniture, sun loungers and barbecue. Ideally located for exploring surrounding mountains with the small mountain railway across the road to take you up and around the valley. From the centre of Chamonix the Montenvers Rack and Pinion train goes up to the Mer de Glace, France’s largest glacier. Hiking, biking, golf and climbing locally. There is a separate one-bedroom apartment beneath the property but adjacent to the garage, let separately.

Location: Les Pèlerins (restaurants, access to Cascade du Dard), 1km from Chamonix centre (all facilities, casino, sports centre, tennis, golf, station, lift to Mont Blanc Mountain), Annecy, Evian, Switzerland (Geneva, Lac Léman) and Italy are all accessible for day trips.

  1. The chalet accommodation was for up to 10 people, with that many people it would have felt small. As there were only 2 of us we were very comfortable. Sept 2012.
  2. Ample space for large families. Location more suitable for outdoor activities, very fit people. Beautiful views of Mount Blanc from the terrace. Sept 2010.
  3. Chamonix is an excellent base for families. We used the free public transport on the trains and buses in the valley using our Guest Card. However, it did take us 2 days to get one at the Hotel de ville, as we needed to supply owner details etc. It would be handy if more info on this was available at the property. Beautiful views. Very good facilities. Aug 2009.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
