Property Description

In the heart of Windermere village, a two-minute walk from the train station, this is a very convenient and comfortable holiday base. Caxton Cottage is a cosy, detached house, with its own parking in front, and outside seating and barbecue area behind. It is a level stroll into the village with its lovely shops, restaurants and cafés, and then a pleasant walk down the hill into Bowness. A car isn’t necessary as there are many local walks; the lake and the path to local viewpoint. Orrest Head is only minutes away and there are excellent transport links to the wider Lake District. Kendal is 9 miles. Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter museums are within a 20-minute drive. Shops, pubs and restaurants 200 yards.
