Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Very friendly welcome from the owner what a lovely gentleman. Oct 2012.
  2. Ideally situated for Edinburgh or Newcastle. The beautiful Northumberland coast is within easy reach. 4 miles from a large Morrisons for shopping at Berwick. Yet the peace and tranquility we felt although so close to the A1 was amazing. Had a wonderful break and would definetly go back again. July 2012.
  3. Wonderful views of the sea, directions to get there were a bit misleading and we missed the turning. On top of a hill so even though the pub is only half a mile away it is a bit of a tough walk back up to the house. June 2012.
  4. We were very pleased with the house. It was a good size and very comfortable to stay in. Lovely view of the sea. Very handy for travelling around. Although just off the A1 its location means that you’re not aware of the traffic. The house is situated up a quiet lane, just a few houses nearby. Lovely feeling of being in the country. Would def stay there again! Masses to see in the area - would def recommend: Cragside (fascinating history and beautiful grounds), Holy Island, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Bamburgh Castle, Museum of Flight (East Fortune), Chain Bridge Honey Farm (don’t forget to walk across the ’Chain Bridge’ linking Scotland and England). We only had a week - there’s loads more to see both north and south of the border. Tip - think about joining Nat Trust and Historic Scotland/English Heritage - you’ll save a lot of money. Also after year one membership you get free entry to the Scottish and English properties. June 2012.
  5. Cottage comfortable but cold great location but not as close to the beach as the picture suggests. April 2012.
  6. Comfortable property, well-placed for coastal walking and beaches. Could do with a freezer. April 2011.
  7. We loved the views, you can look out bedroom windows at sea, so peaceful and private but near lovely sea villages and beaches. April 2011.
  8. The property was sizeable, well kept, very relaxing with views to the sea and surrounding hills, close to places to eat and for shopping. Nov 2010.
  9. The property was very well equipped, everything you could want in a holiday cottage. June 2010.
  10. Good views, inreach of shops places of interest without them being on the door step. March 2010.
  11. Location was fantastic, beautiful countryside as well. Sept 2009.
  12. The cottage was just what we wanted! Superb. Aug 2009.
  13. Good sized property although it is very "tired" and needs updating. July 2009.
  14. Up to the usual good standard. Hope to return next year. March 2009.
  15. Lovely cottage with excellent views. Oct 2008.
  16. A very spacious cottage, with a wonderful view of the sea. Accessibility via the A1 is great. Oct 2007.
