Property Description

A splendid example of a late 19th-century Welsh cottage that has been renovated to a high standard. Retaining many original features, it offers very cosy holiday accommodation from which to explore the delights of the Cardigan Bay. Situated on the road leading into Llangranog, the holiday cottage is only a 5-minute walk to the beach. Activities in the area are plentiful with golf, fishing, horse riding, watersports and skiing all available. Boat trips can be taken on Cardigan Bay - where bottlenosed dolphins are sometimes seen - or relaxing walks can be enjoyed along the coastal path, whilst taking in some of the breathtaking scenery. Many pretty towns and villages are along the coastline including New Quay, Cardigan and the pretty Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron. Shop ¼ mile.

  1. Castle Rock Cottage was a short walk from the beach and proved to be a great find. The log burning stove kept us nice and warm and the whole decoration and feel within the cottage exceeded all our expectations. My wife has been coming to the area since she was a child and we will definitely be using Castle Rock for future visits. March 2012.

  4. The accommodation was traditional with excellent sized rooms. It had all the necessary fixtures and fittings needed (utensils, towels, logs for the fire) and more. The surrounding areas of the property were idyllic - country lanes and a waterfall opposite. The 5 minute walk to the beach was ideal. Feb 2010.
