This modern cottage is finished to a good standard and is located at the edge of a tiny, pretty village on the shores of Lough Derg, on the River Shannon. A delightfully landscaped garden and conservatory will assist with the total relaxation that is possible in this area. There are many charming villages around the lakeshore, offering a choice of pubs and restaurants.

The Lough Derg walking and cycle routes, boating, fishing and a host of other activities can be enjoyed from the cottage, along with day trips to Galway City and Bunratty.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. Utility room. Conservatory. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating included (€40per week September-June). Electricity by meter reading. Bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. We had a superb and excellent holiday in Carrigeen Cottage, the property was immaculate inside and out, it was the perfect base and was ideally situated for walking into the village and lakeside, and of course the two pubs. We would definitely visit Ireland again using your company, our friends who joined us from the USA were most impressed.AND we had great weather, thanks to all your staff, they were most helpful in finding our perfect holiday cottage. May 2008.

  10. The location shown on the website map link was not accurate and in fact was far better than we thought. It is on the shores of Lough Derg, excellent for walking, cycling and just a stroll away from 2 pubs. There are large, attractive landscaped grounds around the house which will be lovely in the summer. The accommodation was well laid out and spacious and the owner had gone to lots of trouble to provide extras. Oct 2007.
