This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route for the Yorkshire Grand Départ, come and see the spectacular countryside that’s in store for the riders on 5th and 6th July 2014.

  1. Carr Dene is a beautiful, well equipped and well decorated cottage suitable for all types of people. If you want to walk there are beautiful surroundings as you will see from the view out of the bedroom windows and if you want to shop its around a 20 minute walk into Holmfirth. We would recommend this cottage to anyone, we had a fantastic time and are hoping to stay again next year. Oct 2012.

  3. Carr Dene is a very well maintained, exceptionally clean property, which very much felt like a home from home. The owner’s welcoming touches (especially the cake!) were greatly appreciated on arrival. The Holmfirth area is very pretty and offers walking from the doorstep, with excellent access to the Northern Peaks. For us, a party of four, in our mid twenties and mid sixties, the property could not have been better, and offered good value for money. We would happily spend another long weekend there. April 2012.
  4. We had a fabulous time in this wonderful house. It was home from home, cosy and all the fixtures and fittings were superb. It is in a good location, 20 minute walk into Holmfirth with two pubs nearby. We visited the winery which was very interesting, it is a 30 minute walk as it is up quite a steep hill!!! I would recommend this property to my friends and family,and will definitely be returning in the future. March 2012.
