Ideal for families or those seeking an adventurous break, there is something for everyone in this year-round destination, with a wide range of winter and summer activities to choose from including walking, fishing, cycling, skiing and sledging (in season), bird watching, mountain biking, climbing and water sports at Loch Morlich. Visit the Rothiemurchus Estate for excellent walks and local produce or for a different kind of wildlife, take a trip to the Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie to view polar bears, Siberian tigers, bison and wolves. Further afield, there are good road links to Inverness and the West Highlands, or within the National Park itself the Whisky Trail takes you through further stunning scenery. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1/4 mile.

Excellent location as was only 5 mins drive from centre. There is plenty to do in and round Aviemore - you will never be stuck for things to do. We highly recommend Carn Elrig. June 2011.
