Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Just fantastic! Dec 2012.
  2. Calton cottage is a true delight, in a magical village set in the prettiest of dales. It is warm, comfortable and has a kitchen litte better equipped than our own! The fire burns bright, the beck behind provides a lullabye of exceptional quality. We will return! Oct 2012.
  3. Although we knew the possibility of pets, the smell from pets was not so nice. The shower room of one of the ensuite’s was on the small side. If you want to go a bit further away from the cottage consider some extra travel time because it takes a wile before you hit the main roads. Aug 2012.
  4. Surprisingly spacious, superbly clean and equipped and a fabulous holiday base. April 2012.
  5. The en-suite accommodation was of great benefit. Oct 2011.
  6. The little local shop is better value for money than we expected, and wished we had not bothered stopping at Tesco in Skipton on way to cottage. Aug 2011.
  7. The cottage although appearing small was extremely spacious and well equipped. It is situated in a small very friendly village. There is plenty to do and see in the local area. We recommend the local hostelries and cafe for food etc. Kilnsey Park and Trekking Centre are both great places to spend some time, especially for the kids. The Patio at the rear of the property allows viewing wildlife such as water voles, crayfish, fish etc (as long as your quiet enough). Prior to arriving at the cottage we spoke to the owners and the housekeeper who provided valuable guidance of where to go and what to see. All in all we had a great week basing our holiday in Kettlewell. July 2011.
  8. The cottage was very comfortably and well furnished. Everything we could possibly need was provided. Kitchen well equipped for cooking/dining needs and also thoughtful touches such as books and maps of the area. Sofas comfortable, cushions & blankets for cosiness and fire with coals & wood. Bed linen etc all in good, clean condition. Cottage very clean and well tended. Lovely area with great pubs & walks. June 2011.
  9. Excellent base for Yorkshire Dales, Cottage very well equipped, and plenty of space for 4 adults, will definately be coming back. May 2011.
  10. Lovely position, pubs, Church and village shop all within a ston’s throw and glorious walks right from the village so you don’t have to get into your car. Local people very friendly. April 2011.
  11. We liked the location and the cottage itself. Dec 2010.
  12. The location of the cottage was important - ie within a village location and near dog-friendly pubs. July 2010.
  13. It was the best cottage we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Touches such as books about Yorkshire, walking maps and places to visit etc. July 2010.
  14. Pleasant, well situated and well equipped. May 2010.
  15. Settled in a very nice village in the Dales. Very good walking possibilities. April 2010.
  16. Very high standard of equipment and fittings, a very high standard of furnishing and decoration, and an altogether comfortable and enjoyable experience where nearly everything worked! April 2010.
  17. A wonderful cottage, with larger rooms than it seems possible, when you see it from outside. March 2010.
  18. Lovely, modern cottage, spacious kitchen, cosy living area with open fire ideal location for walking. Feb 2010.
