You will like this detached holiday home (can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults plus 2 children), with stylish furnishings and its lounge opening onto a large garden.

Located in the heart of the historical Caen with all facilities nearby. Its a great place for walking and resting. Visit William the Conquerors castle and abbeys as well as the Peace Museum. Pegasus Bridge, where the first British Commando landed the day before D-Day is also worth a visit.

The landing beaches and Sword Beach are only 15km away, historical Bayeux with its cathedral and worldwide known tapestry retaining William the Conquerors Odyssie in the 11th century is 24km away, while his birth place, Falaise is 35km. At the same distance is the chic resort of Deaville, home of the movie stars, with palaces, hotels, horse racing, casino, chic shopping. Across the bridge the fishing harbour of Trouville, with plenty of seafood restaurants along the pier.

Ground floor: Lounge, dining room, kitchen, separate toilet and basin, 1 double bedroom. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double plus single bed, 1 twin, with shared en-suite bathroom with toilet and double basin. Second floor: Bathroom toilet and basin, 1 twin bedroom.

Gas central heating, open fire in lounge, all fuel and power included in rent May-Sep, €60 supplement Oct-Apr, colour satellite TV (French channels), DVD player, CD player, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, freezer, microwave, enclosed lawned garden, terrace, garden furniture, barbecue, ample off road parking. Sorry, no pets.

  1. Easy access to shops bus stops and bars. 20 minute walk to central Caen. Massive garden. Sept 2011.
  2. The house is very spacious but with a rather small kitchen. The big garden and 2 terraces are an absolute asset (the former especially for the kids, the latter for the adults!). May 2011.
