Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Extremely well equipped. Very friendly and helpful (non-English speaking) owners in main house adjacent. Excellent centre for area (champagne route and bird-watching on lakes). Oct 2012.
  2. Peaceful and quiet and the house and gardens were lovely. Owners very helpful and kind. June 2012.
  3. This is a very spacious, well maintained property with a king sized bed and well equipped kitchen. The owners are very friendly and helpful but only speak French. Recommend visit to Provins. June 2012.
  4. Very warm welcome from unobtrusive hosts. No English spoken but every effort made to communicate despite my pathetic French. Location ideal for good walkers, bird watchers and particularly cyclists. If you have bikes, take them, because the tracks are excellent. Troyes a wonderful historic city - access easy. May 2012.
  5. The owners are very welcoming and concerned that you are comfortable and have everything you need. The property is spacious, comfortable and well equipped, we took our bikes and were able to lock them away in the garage when we weren’t using them. The velovoie which borders the lakes is great for safe, easy, cycling and most of the local roads are very quiet. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within an hours’ drive, especially the medieval city of Troyes which has an excellent art and other museums. The local shops at Lusigny are fine for all everyday needs and there is a bread van that stops near the house every morning (except Monday) though you have to listen out for the horn. Many local shops are closed on Mondays and the big supermarkets aren’t open on Sundays. Sept 2011.
  6. Generally well equiped and the owners went out of their way to be welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and welcoming wine and orange juice was much appreciated. Please extend these remarks to them. Beautiful quiet location in a previously unknown part of La France. June 2011.
  7. Very welcoming and friendly hosts, property very comfortable (large rooms, big bed, huge garden) and definitely one of the best gites we have stayed in. Interesting area for exploring the southern champagne region, and woodland walks/lake activities close at hand. Troyes attractive city. Highly recommended! May 2011.
  8. The accommodation, attached as as an independent annexe to the owners property, is beautiful. The fixtures and fittings have been tastefully and thoroughly selected. There is evidence of a great deal of time having been taken in their selection. The garden area for guests is equipped with tables chairs and loungers. M. and Mdm Leblanc speak little English but their desire to help is clearly apparent. Their unexpected "welcome pack" of a bottle of wine and beer was a treat after a long journey. Guests will find a selection of novels and tourist information, board games and cards so if the range of channels on the TV or the DVD’s do not appeal there are alternatives already to hand. It is a pleasure to recommend the property and the owners to other guests. May 2011.
  9. Spacious house with large private garden. Comfortably furnished, on quiet road, with plenty of garden furniture. July 2010.
  10. Large and airy with all facilities. June 2010.
  11. The property was excellent just as shown on the website.Very comfortable, lovely gardens, friendly owners next door. The only drawback was there were no shops near, had to drive to next village for groceries. June 2010.
  12. Quiet rural location with excellent gardens, trees, shrubs and views over adjoining farmland. Well-maintained property with the discrete owners living next door who made themselves available when needed. June 2010.
  13. Very lovely location, excellent facilities. May 2010.
  14. Very spacious, very clean, very well equipped, beautifully decorated, light and airy, pleasant welcoming hosts, garage useful, lovely open gardens. Thank you for moving us to this property so quickly. Feb 2010.
  15. Very well equipped property and owners extremely welcoming and friendly. Good selection of tourist information supplied by owners. Sept 2009.
  16. I cannot imagine how one could improve any aspect of this property. The owners have provided the highest quality accommodation & no detail has been overlooked. Sept 2009.
  17. Very French, welcoming hosts, relaxing garden, convenient for lakes. On the downside (for us), a little too remote, not much in the village, no restaurant within walking distance. Overall would certainly recommend it though for a quiet break. June 2009.
  18. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this cottage and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. It has character and charm plus everything you could wish for in the way of utensils, furnishings etc. The owners are there when you need them and very helpful. March 2009.
  19. The owners are very accommodating (but not overbearing). They don’t speak any English which makes it ideal to practice your French! June 2009.
  20. We did not expect such a lovely, spacious and comfortable cottage. The owners were delightful, they obviously take great pride in providing their guests with the most excellent and well-equipped accommodation. Are recommending them to our friends! March 2008.
